Cole and Jay went up to the old burned down monetary. Jay looked around and smiled. Cole looked at him confused. Did Jay intend to train Aria here?
"right here, we can train Aria here, it's far enough away from the city to go unnoticed and this place is already burned down so their's nothing else here she can destroy" Jay explained
"Jay i think your right, i can't believe i'm saying this but good thinking" Cole said patting him on the back
"it was nothing" Jay said proudly
"Aria's gonna love this" Cole said
Aria leaned against a tree in Ninjago park with her headphones in. She stared off into nothing, she sensed something coming in her direction, she put up her hand and caught it easily. A boy with brownish black hair came over to her.
"sorry about that, my friend has a bad throw" he said as Aria took out one of her headphones
"nice catch by the way" he added
"it's a gift" Aria shrugged handing him back the football
"my name's Kai" he said smiling
"Aria" she said simply
"nice name" he said
"didn't you work at a blacksmiths shop" Aria asked
"uh.. yeah i did" he said a little confused
"you fixed a knife of mine about 5 years ago flamebrain" Aria said flicking his forehead
"oh you were that 6 year old, nice to see you shorty, you grew a lot" he said smiling
"yeah i'm 16 now" she said taking out her other headphone and putting them in her pocket
"shouldn't you be 12? it's only been 6 years" Kai asked
"It's complicated" she shrugged
"but now I can legally date you" Kai joked
"in your dreams hotshot" Aria laughed "no matter how hot i look i would never date a ninja"
"oh so you noticed" he said rubbing his neck
"i don't understand why you hate us so much" Kai said
"because of this" Aria said putting her hand out and a small purple flame was made in her hand
"your an elemental" he said softly "but you can't use it because it's dark"
"I want to use it, i just can't" Aria said sadly
"that's right... your the overlord's daughter" Kai said taking her hand
"my cousin told me to never use my powers so that nobody could ever figure out he's my dad" Aria said pulling her hand away from Kai
"I used to think that all descendants of evil are bad but.. your not, your actually afraid" he looked into her eyes
"please don't tell anyone Kai" Aria said softly
"I won't, your secret is safe with me Aria" Kai said
Later that night Kai sat in bed remembering what happened 6 years ago with Aria.
A little girl walked up to the shop with her broken knife in hand
"Can you fix this for me" she asked the boy who was working
"Aren't you a little young to have a knife" he asked a bit mockingly
"Just do your job" the little girl said puting a little bag of money on the counter with her broken knife
"He'll fix it up right away" a girl, probably the boy's sister, said
The boy took the little girl's knife and started fixing it as she went outside and sat agaist the tree. After awhile the boy came out
"Your knife is cooling off" he said
"Alright" she said without openjng her eyes
The boy stood there, kinda stairing at her
She opened her eyes "You know it's rude to stare"
"I'm not staring!" He shouted
"Yes you are" she said
"Im looking at you pipsqueak!" He shouted
"Pipsqueak?" She questioned
"Yeah your short" he said smirkimg
"Im younger then you flamebrain!" She shouted
He smirked and chuckled "relax im only teasing you shorty"
The little girl pouted with an annoyed look while the boy's sister laughed
"How old are you then?" He asked
"Six" the little girl said
"S-six! Where's your parents?" He asked
"Dead"
"Oh, sorry..." he apologized
"It's ok I'll be fine" The boy's sister come over and handed her her knife
"Is that the overlord's crest!?!" The boy freaked out
"Yeah the Overlord's my dad, he's imprisoned on a island and my mother's dead, you have a problem with that" she said annoyed and glaring.
Surprisingly the boy didn't move but he simply got up and helped her up "alright little one"
"I have to go, thank you, a lot" the little girl said happily, smiling for the first time since she got there, she started walking away
"Kai" the boy said
She turned around "Hm?"
"My name's Kai" he said standing infront of her smiling
"Aria, Aria Lord, see you around flamebrain" she said walking away from the blacksmith's shop.
She used to be so little and cute, and now she's about to his shoulders and she's beautiful, she grew up well.
