I'm sooo exited that people are reading this. I hope you like my book!😃

Jay's P.O.V

I'm in my room thinking about my shift. I turned eighteen today, and at midnight I shift for the first time. And I take the roll as Alpha.

"Jay!" My friend Liam called. He'll be my beta.

"What?"

"Get down to the border there's something you should see!"

"Okay?"

We sprinted down to the border. And immediately I could smell a rouge. Or an Omega. I can't tell the difference. But there's another scent there too.

It smells like a cat! I hate cats.

I run over to the scene and four guards have a girl pinned down. She has raven hair and incredible blue eyes.

Stop it! She came onto my territory!

I walk over and she stops thrashing around. She looks at me, smells the air, and growls.

"You're an Alpha." She says with clear hatred in her voice.

"And you're a cat."

"No." She said to me still giving the death stare.

"Then what are you?" I ask confused.

"I'm a panther."

What the fuck! Those are supposed to be extinct!

"Bitten or born?"

"Bitten." She says with sadness in her voice.

"Why are you on my territory?" She didn't reply.

"Well?"

"I guess I crossed the border on accident." She said in a bored tone.

"So, are you a rouge or Omega?" I asked.

"A feline doesn't belong to a pack. We roam freely, those little titles don't apply to me." I just stared at her intrigued to learn about the way felines think. "And it really is a shame, that dogs like you can't just learn to stop being possessive over everything. I bet it would be much more peaceful that way." She said calmly.

Dogs! Is that what she thinks of us.

"Son?" My dad said sternly. I turned and looked at him. "Did you hear what she called us?" He growled.

"Yes." I said calmly. I did call her a cat.

"She trespassed on our land, and called us dogs." He said through gritted teeth.

"Calm down doggy." She said to my dad. He growled. She didn't flinch and she didn't have the slightest trace of fear in her eyes. Her heartbeat didn't rise either.

"You know what to do." My father growled at me.

The guards let go of her. And left me alone with her.

My dad wants me to kill her. But I can't. There's a part of me that keeps

telling me not to. But if I don't I'll be seen as a weak Alpha before I even get the title. So I have to.

I knelt in front of her. And looked into her beautiful eyes.

"I'm sorry." I said to her. She closed her eyes and sat on her knees.

"I guess I'm gonna be late to dinner." She sighed.

"It'll be over soon. I'm so sorry." I reassured her.

I went behind her. I put her in a headlock, and snapped her neck.

All of the sudden I started crying. And I held her in my lap. I couldn't stop crying. I just sat there for hours with her lifeless body in my lap. Why did I do that?

I carried her through the woods, and sat her down beneath an oak tree. I surrounded her in flowers. I think it'll help if I look at her like she's sleeping, and not dead. She looks peaceful.

I can't help but feel a strong connection to her. Like I already know her.

I sat down next to her. I held her hand, and started singing her a lullaby that my mom used to sing. When it got dark outside I let go of her hand. I kissed her forehead and went back to my house.
