First of all thank you for the comments and votes on the previous chapter, I hope you'll like the next chapter just as much.

Standing in her kitchen Glen was about to leave again for Dublin. He'd stayed the night after Arthur's play but had to leave for tonight's show. "I'll miss you," Glen whispered as he once again had to say goodbye to his girlfriend and son for the next four weeks. They were going to finish their UK tour and then head straight to Europe with the bus. He wanted nothing more than to stay with them and have some family time with them. But he had a tour and there was nothing he could do about it. But when summer came around and they finished their touring and festivals they were going to go on a holiday, just the four of them, maybe Luke would like to join them as well.

"I'll miss you too," Kate admitted, wrapping her arms around his waist, her head resting on his chest. She took some comfort from hearing his heart beating beneath her ear as he squeezed his arms around her. "No surprise visit?" he asked her with a hopeful tone

"I'll miss you too," Kate admitted as she wrapped her arms around his waist, her head resting on his chest. His beating heart underneath her ear as she squeezed her arms a little. "No surprise visits?" he asked her with a hopeful tone as she shook her head at him.

"No, next week I'll be the official director in charge of the museum. Even if that means I can arrange my hours even more. The first few weeks I'll have to prove myself and it's packed with meetings and planning and I have a few lectures to give as well. Arthur has school, there is nothing I want more than to come and visit you." she admitted, looking up into his eyes as he nudged her nose with his. Claiming her lips hungrily he pushed her back as she bumped into the counter behind her.

"We'll figure things out," Glen assured her as he wrapped his arms around her again, enjoying the last moment they had together before leaving for Dublin again.

"We will." she sighed, she hoped that they would at least as Arthur came down and ran up to them. "Do you really have to go?" Arthur asked him with tears in his eyes, his little arms wrapping around his dad's neck.

"I do little man, but we'll call every evening like we've been doing okay?" Glen asked him, not that it would offer the three of them much comfort as they wanted nothing more than to be together, it was as simple as that. Now that they had finally reunited, they wanted to stay together, they had missed each other too much already. Missed out so much from each other lives.

"It's not the same," Arthur argued as the horn honked again outside of Kate's house. "No, it's not the same." Glen agreed, kissing the top of his head and squeezed his arms around his son a bit tighter, before pulling Kate into his side as well. His arms wrapped around two of the three most important people in his life. "I have to go," he muttered with reluctance when the cab honked again. Kate took Arthur from Glen's arms as she gave him one more kiss before he bends down to kiss Arthur one final time as well.

But Arthur moved his head away from his dad. "No, you're leaving us again. You don't want us anymore." Arthur cried out as he hugged his mum and hid his face in her neck. Kate, on the other hand, locked the hurt eyes of Glen in front of her. They couldn't do much against it right now as Glen had to leave. "He doesn't mean it," Kate told him, hoping it would take away some of the hurt she saw in his eyes. But he simply nodded his head in a tearful manner. "I love you, both of you," he whispered, looking between Kate and Arthur, before picking up his bag and leaving the house.

"Daddy's leaving us again." Arthur cried in her arms as she sat down on the chair with him in her lap. "He has got to go work little man. It wasn't a nice thing of you to say to daddy." Kate told him, looking down at him with a tilted head and small sigh.
