Making the most of it

Hiiii, I know i'm like a week and a half late but I had been going through the star of my second week of college and was organizing myself. It's almost getting close to the end, only this and the end to finish this story. I am so happy that this is getting such positive response. Maybe in a near future I might be writing another one. Leave a comment to know what you thing, it might not be too good in my opinion but let me know what YOU think ;)

The next days were good for Danielle and Dec. They'd spend all their time together as possible, since the girl didn't know London, Dec spent his free time showing her around all his and Ants favorite places. Except for the pubs of course giving the situations and that Danny was 15 obviously. They went for some ice-cream, Dec took her to a fair that was nearby the same day Ali had an ultrasound and found out that the baby was a girl; they were all over the moon. He even bought Danny a bike so naturally Dec, Ali and Danielle went to the park. It was good for Ali's pregnancy to take a walk in the park so when they went all three were enjoying themselves. Sometimes Dec would get stopped by fans wanting to take a picture with him and Danielle offered to take it. People would ask who was she of Dec and he'd proudly said they were father and daughter, obviously it was a shock but all he could say was "it's a long story".

The three were enjoying the park when Dec's phone rang and the caller ID said "Clare is calling"... He asked Ali to distract Danny because he knew the phone call was going to get heated up at some point.

"Hello, in case you are wondering, Danielle is with me and Ali and I are in the park taking her for a ride in her new bike"

"You took her to the park!!! Are you mad? There could be paparazzi around, Ant said she wouldn't get too exposed" She shouted

"Ok let's get something clear here, as much as Ant cares for my daughter the same as me which I'm grateful for, I am the father and I'm tired of hiding her from the world. What happened between us has nothing to do with Danny and I still cannot believe you want to hide her. After all these years you won't let go of all that and it is not fair on our girl. She is becoming a big young woman and understands what goes on around her. You say you love Danielle but keep her away from me, her father, who she wants to be close to. She wants to stay here and you can't make her or she will be miserable. As much as I want her to stay being our little girl forever, she isn't so you have to do what is best for her and let her be with who she wants to be" Dec said

"I can't do that, our life is here, and my life is here. I can't suddenly pack our bags and fly to London again, it would be chaos. The press would have a buffet of news and it could cause harm" Clare argued

"You are as shallow as always, she can take it I know it and we, or at least I have nothing to hide. If I have to do an interview to clear everything up then I will. I am not afraid to tell the truth unlike some people who are ashamed of showing off her daughter" Dec argued

"I am the one who has been living with Danielle and taking care of her for 15 years, I make the decision that is for her own good. I know what is best for her since I take care of her; I'm only trying to protect her"

"Protect her or protect yourself and your image from having to talk in front of the cameras? I thought you were an actress Clare, cameras are your thing" He said sarcastically

"Don't start Declan, I knew you were going to try and take my daughter away from me!!!" Clare exclaimed

"Oh come on, I am not trying anything, she wants to live here and she's right. This is her home, all her family is here as well as yours. Danny wants us all to be in the same place like a normal child. You and me may not always agree on things but you have to suck it up and do what makes Danielle happy"

"I don't have time to discuss this right now with you, listen; I am going to be there in three days since you will be done with the BGT finals and I am taking my daughter back to the US" Clare hangs up

Declan walks to the girls and finds Ali sitting on a bench resting with Danielle beside her caressing Ali's bump. Dec's heart warms up at how cute they looked, he couldn't be happier.

"Ah my queen and two beautiful princesses" he said with a wide grin

"Is everything alright dad?" Danielle asked

"Yes starlight, everything is fine. Why don't we go home in time for tea and to get you to rest in bed?" Dec said looking at his wife

"Ok, let's go" Ali said

The three of them went home and once inside the house Dec told Danny to go wash while Ali cooked dinner. Declan was sat in the kitchen counter telling her about the conversation with Clare.

"What are you going to do declan? You can't let her treat you like that or Danielle... She is almost all grown up but at the same time is still a child. This whole situation is taking its toll on the poor girl"

"Clare is such a proud and selfish woman, cares more about image. What kind of mother doesn't want to show the world how amazing her daughter is?? I would and will for both of them" Declan declared

"I know honey, for now you should concentrate on spending this time with Danny as Clare will be here in two days. Talk to her, try to convince her to come back to London, Clare too has family here and I'm sure they want to see them and watch Danielle grow up. Make her see that if she doesn't do this, Danielle is going to resent Clare for the rest of her life and she wouldn't want that" Ali said sweetly

"I know, I will talk to Clare... I hope it's not too late" Dec said. Little did they know is that Danielle listened to the conversation and managed to listen to the middle of it from the center of the stairs.

She was really upset with her mother for doing this to her. Danny didn't know what to do, she did not want to leave her dad but she didn't want her mother away either. Well, at this point with what she heard, Danielle was so angry that she didn't care what Clare said. What could she do? Nothing? There had to be a way. Danielle wiped her face, tried to calm down from the anger and went downstairs for dinner with Dec and Ali as if she just didn't hear anything.
