Chapter Six- A Queen of Love

Gaius was fitting in a potion when he heard a cry. It was a baby cry. He turned to look but there was nothing there. 

"Where is that cry coming from?" He wondered and looked around again just to make sure. 

After awhile, the cry stopped and Gauis stood there confused. There was some evil magic lurking around.

Merlin walked in with a bundle of clothes.

"I got to wash these again."

Gaius stared at Merlin awkwardly.

"Uh Merlin..."

Merlin stopped in his tracks, "Yes Gaius?"

"I eh I um heard a cry before. A baby's cry. Do you think there's evil magic around the Castle walls again?"

Merlin looked at Gaius with a stern face. 

"A baby's cry? Gaius when did you hear that?"

"Just before you walked in by a few minutes. I looked around but there was nothing."

Merlin stayed in his spot, his mind drifting to a thinking position. A baby's cry? Why would there be a baby's cry?

"I got to go investigate."

Merlin threw down the bundled clothes and bolted out the door.

"Becareful!" Gaius called from behind.

Enchanted eyes blurted open. Was that a baby's cry? Enchanted sat up with her head throbbing. The cry came again. Enchanted's eyes flashed green, a sign of danger. 

"Magic..." Enchanted mumbled to herself and there was a knock on the door.

"Come in!"

Merlin walked in with an overexaggerated expression.

"Enchanted! There's magic between the castle walls again."

"I know. I heard the cry."

There was silence.

"It's a doll," said Enchanted breaking the silence, "those that hear it recieve bad luck. But it doesn't work on those who carry magic." 

"Where do we find it?"

"You can't find such a doll Merlin. It's old magic. The person that put it here must've hid it well."

Enchanted rarely thought of others but Merlin needed to think of those that are powerless.

"What about those that don't have magic? They need something to weild off the evil curse."

Enchanted smiled up at Merlin, "I love how you care. A bracelet sealed with a spell. Those that wear it will be safe from any evil spirit that goes around."

"How do we give it to the people."

"You  can't distribute thousands of bracelets to the people Merlin. It'll take forever. Just give the bracelets to important people like Gaius, Arthur, Gwen, the Knights. Them. We need them."

Merlin nodded, "where do we get the bracelets from?"

"Oh I have plenty!" 

Enchanted opened up a  jewelry box which was filled with lots of different bracelets.

Merlin distributed the bracelets around to the people but when he got to Gaius, he saw that Gaius had fallen and hurt his leg. First sign of bad luck. Merlin used magic to heal it up and gave Gaius a bracelet. When Merlin was going to explain, Gaius held out his hand.
