Chapter Two

As the Imperial Shuttle flew out of the hangar and away from the Imperial Cruiser, Lord Vader couldn't help but feel on edge with anxiety. The three men who sat with him in the cockpit had taken of their helmets, slightly relaxing in the company of their companion.

"Boss," Rex spoke with a sing-song tone in his voice. "You can relax now, we're all friends here, ya know?"

Vader sighed, turning auto pilot on as he turned around to face the three of them. "Lock the door, will ya Fox?"

Fox locked cockpit's door as Vader pulled his helmet off, shaking his sandy blonde locks out. "Happy Rexie?" He ran a hand over his face, his cerulean eyes squinted shut.

"Absolutely," Rex smiled.

"So why are you so tense?" Cody asked. "Naboo is a beautiful, peaceful planet that wouldn't stand up to you if they had the option. This take over will be a breeze," He reasoned.

"I know that, it's just," Anakin sighed. "I had a wife, a family in the making, who came from here. Every milestone in that marriage happened there, except when she admitted she loved me back. The point is, I just hate coming to her home without her. Even now, a mere year later, it still doesn't feel right."

Fox crossed his arms, looking at Anakin with a soft expression. "You really loved her, didn't you?"

Anakin nodded, "Looking back at it, thought she was my wife, some could say my love was an obsessive love. I couldn't do anything without her," He closed his eyes, rubbing them as he slouched back in his chair. "If I had the chance, I wouldn't obsess as much and be more protective."

Rex thought out loud, "So what your saying is you loved her but you did it so much, you are only hurting yourself now that she is gone?"

Anakin looked at the slowly growing Naboo that lie ahead of them. "I feel as though she's not gone and yet my heart is telling me she is."

The trio of companion nodded then Cody got an idea. "Boss, you're in touch with the force right?" Upon Anakin nodding, he continued on. "What does it say when you reach out for her?"

Anakin closed his eyes once again, reaching out into the force to find her. The force that flowed through her never stopped; it was still going strong and the 'signal' it was casting came from his destination.

"I think she's in Theed," He declared. "We are landing shortly, suit up boys." Anakin pulled his black helmet on, once again becoming the monster that is Darth Vader.
