Chapter 13: The... "Date"

I couldn't sleep at all. It was Friday night and I was so excited about my date with Joy tomorrow. Yes... Date. I had my first date ever. 

I began to smile uncontrollable as I thought about the next day. I had to make it the perfect day. I wanted to make Joy happy so bad. Damn, I wanted to see her smile and never stop looking at her. 

I rolled around and smiled against the wall. I must look like a complete idiot, but I was happy and excited. I thought I wouldn't be able to sleep that night, but somehow I managed to fall asleep.

The next day I waited for Joy in front of the station. I waited for almost two and a half hours, but she just didn't show up. 

The smile which I had for the whole time dropped and I looked at the big clock. 3:24 p.m. 

I doubted that she would show up. I wanted to make my way home, when suddenly my phone buzzed. I looked at the screen and it was Joy's number.

Joo-Won:
"Joy? Where are you?"

???:
"I found out about your little date and decided to make it a bit more interesting."

Joo-Won:
"Who are you? Where's Joy?"

???:
"Who I am? You hurt my feelings, Joo-Won. Hahahaha."

Joo-Won:
"Damn it, tell me who you are and if Joy's fine!"

???:
"You still don't recognize me? I thought you would. After all... we are club mates."

My eyes widened. No way.

Joo-Won:
"Is that you... Chanyeol?"

Chanyeol:
"Bingo! And now get your pity ass to the swimming hall, if you wanna save your precious "Joy"!"

Joy:
"Joo-Won! Help plea-"

And with that Chanyeol hung up the call. This asshole... If he hurt Joy, I'll kill him personally.

I ran to the swimming hall as fast as I could. It wasn't far away and I didn't have the patience to wait for a bus. 

I entered the empty area where the club usually trains and looked around. It was the only area where weren't any people and which wasn't visible for others, perfect to hide someone who got kidnapped.

"Up here, loverboy!" I heard Chanyeol shout and looked up. 

My face got pale when I saw Joy next to him. They were up at the 10 meter diving board. Joy was tied to a chair and even from the distance I could notice that she got beaten up and that she was crying. The anger rose inside of me and I stepped closer. 

"Stay right there or I throw her into the pool." Chanyeol said seriously and I stopped. 

"Why are you doing all this?" I ask-shouted up to him. 

"Why I'm doing this? You ask why? Well first, you show up here and expect to be treated as the new king or something, just because you have a fucking natural talent for swimming and you make a fool out of everyone who isn't like you! Second, you make a fool out of me, when it was clearly your fault because you didn't train, like the rest of us! Why should we treat you like you were something special?! And last, you fucking KISSED Sooyoung! Two fucking times! In front of me! How dare you to kiss my crush for 3 years in front of me!" He shouted at me and my eyes widened. 

Joy was his crush? But then why... I looked back at Joy and I saw her face, beaten up and everywhere was blood. 

"If she really was your crush and if you really loved her... You wouldn't do something like this to her. If you really loved her, you wouldn't hurt her, but you would try to protect her. You don't really love her. You beat her up. That isn't called love. You're just crazy." I said with my usual coldness which I had towards others. 

Chanyeol started to move around, kicked the poles and you could clearly see that he was angry, even though I couldn't see his face clearly. 

"If I can't have her, nobody will!" And with that he pushed her over the edge. 

"Joy! NO!!!" I jumped right after her, not caring that I still wore all my clothes. 

I dived after her and I could see her struggling with the ropes. I reached her and she looked into my eyes, but all I could see in them was fear. I tried to loosen the ropes, but they were freaking tight. 

I tried everything I had in mind to loosen the ropes, but it didn't really help. I looked at Joy again and I noticed that she was about to lose her consciousness. Shit! I don't have much time. 

I pulled the ropes with all my strength, but my vision got blurry too. 

No... I need a little more time. I can't let us die here... I almost got it...
