I see perfection as the highest cloud.
Will I ever reach it? I doubt.
What will I achieve and what will I lose,
Can't step ahead without this muse.
Everyone is running an oblivion race,
Perfection is the goal in this chase.
Flaws are not acceptable, I often hear.
Where will I stand, I really fear.
For I'm a girl whose ally's imperfections.
The moon's imperfect so, am I
Our beauty in these marks lie!
They make me feel who I really am
Forgetful of what the world demands.
What is perfect? I question today,
Is it that what makes me someone else?
And changes me in an unloving way!
What I'll be tomorrow, I do not know,
But I will be a better me, for sure.
With a goal of improving everyday,
I live my life on a better stay.
Imperfection is what is life,
So this chase, I stop today!
It's not about what I can't be,
But it's about saving the real me.
No one is perfect and none can be,
This great truth, today I see!
