Setting: Four Seasons Resort, Bora Bora, French Polynesia
"Today I am officially four months pregnant. I think when I was four months pregnant with Muse, it was more visible, but I only have a little food baby. Our peanut just isn't ready to show himself to the world yet," Demi said as she posed in front of the mirror with her new iPhone XS Max in her hand.
Cristo had upgraded both of them before he decided to take her on this impromptu mini vacation. He said they just needed a week away to themselves and she couldn't agree more. Muse was staying with Kris for the time being and they would be back home by the end of the week.
"But yeah...sixteen weeks. I can't believe I'm doing this again," Demi groaned, rubbing her hand over her flat stomach as she frowned a little bit before ending the video.
She had restricted herself to one piece swimsuits just in case there were paparazzi lurking around, but she doubted that even if she had been brave enough to dawn a bikini that anyone would notice she was even pregnant. Demi still didn't feel like she was really pregnant. She didn't look like it either. There wasn't much morning sickness anymore, she only experienced minimal cramping, she didn't have weird cravings or even foods that she couldn't stand...she just didn't feel the way that she felt when she was pregnant with Muse. Like she was doing this beautiful thing by creating and nurturing life. This time it didn't feel that special at all. Maybe it was second child syndrome, or just the circumstances surrounding her pregnancy. Whatever it was...Demi was trying to shake it off. This whole pregnancy had already started off horribly...she just wanted it to be a happy time.
"Babe, are you ready?" Cristo said as he came back into the room, dressed for their day on a boat.
"Yeah," Demi replied, grabbing her bag and throwing her phone inside of it before following him out of their bungalow that was right above the water.
Cristo had arranged for them to go on a private boat tour around the island, and Demi was excited to spend the day on the ocean just relaxing and spending time with her man. So far, the vacation had proved to be a success in terms of getting them to relax and spend more time together. That's all Demi wanted and now it felt like they were much closer than they were before. Alone time really was needed. They got so caught up in everything else that they kind of forgot about each other.
"What are you smiling about, ma cherie?" Cristo questioned, looking over at her as she laid back on the chaise lounge, adjusting the hem of the striped swimsuit that some company had sent to her.
"I don't know...I'm just happy to be here with you," she breathed out, the wind gently whipping her hair away from her face as they continued their smooth sailing on the ocean.
"I'm happy to be here with you too," he said, taking a seat next to her and laying back on the same lounge chair before wrapping his arms around her and gently kissing the side of her face. "We needed this," he said as his hand found the small swell of her stomach and rested there.
