One of the best things about moving to a new house was getting to decorate each room the way that she wanted it. Demi had put a lot of thought into the design of her new house when she decided to move out of the one that she had shared with Cristo and let him have it, and the room that she put the most thought into had to be Muse's room. And every time Demi walked in there, she had to pat herself on the back because she did a damn good job. The main part of the room was the swinging bed in the middle. For some reason, Maddie had been watching "That's So Raven" reruns, and the episode that had been on was the one where Raven got her room redone, and the main feature of her room was a swinging bed. Muse had said something about it and Demi thought the whole thing was a bit ridiculous, but Muse was four years old. She was allowed to have a ridiculous room. So, a swinging bed it was. The room itself was baby blue with clouds painted on the floor and clouds painted on the walls. There were birds attached to the ropes of the bed, a little couch next to her bed, and then her playroom and closet were connected to her room. It was the perfect bedroom. Even Kourtney had been seething with jealousy over not coming up with the idea herself.

"Hey, princess, it's time to wake up," Demi cooed, hitting the button on the side of her wall for her shades to go up.

Muse didn't move. She was like Demi in that way too. When she was asleep, she didn't like to be disturbed. Waking Muse up had to be a soothing and gentle process, or she would be dealing with her bad attitude for days.

"Come on, Muse, time to get up," Demi said a little louder, sitting on the edge of her bed and gently rubbing her back. Muse shifted a little bit and released a low groan as Demi brushed her hair off of her forehead. "Come on, you have to get ready for school."

"I'm sleepy," Muse whined as she turned towards her mother without opening her eyes.

"I know, but you have to go to school."

"No, I'm tired," Muse said, pulling the covers over her head a little bit.

"Muse Kristen."

"Mommy, I don't feel good," she mumbled, taking the covers away from her face a little bit.

"What's wrong? Is it your stomach? I told your dad not to let you have so many sweets after dinner," Demi said with a roll of her eyes, but Muse shook her head.

"Like icky on the inside," she tried to explain, causing Demi to furrow her eyebrows.

"What?"

"I don't know...I'm just tired," Muse said with a resigned sigh.

Demi thought that so far she had been doing a pretty good job with keeping in tune with her daughter's emotional needs. Whenever Muse was feeling a certain way, Demi always tried to have her explain her feelings and talk it out so that they could get to the bottom of why she was feeling the way that she did. This time, Demi had a bit of an inkling about why Muse seemed so down these days. Sometimes she would be fine, but sometimes she would get really quiet and not feel like doing anything except for lazing around. Today was her first day sleeping in her own bed since the funeral, and Demi felt like she was still trying to deal with the whole death ordeal. Demi had explained it, but it was clearly bothering Muse more than she let on.
