11-Stefan

Note- both the reader and Stefan in this chapter are human after taking the cure.

You and Stefan were the best of friends to being with. You'd always be found either at his place or he would be found over at yours. Which of course you loved.

Stefan would always comfort you when some boy broke your heart for the hundredth time and you'd always have to stop him from trying to hurt them which always worked.

Stefan became a natural at telling you that a boy wasn't worth your attention since you seemed to fail at being in relationships.
Of course you had many heart breaks with many boys including Stefan's own brother but you always knew something was missing.

Eventually you realised that that something missing was a loving caring boyfriend who was also your best friend.
Of course you knew who that boy would eventually be. Yep you guessed it Stefan.

At first you didn't really know what to do with these new found feelings for your best friend. You jut thought it was some girly crush that would sooner or later dissolve and you'd be on to your next crush but after a whole 2 years your feelings for Stefan were stronger then ever.

Sooner or later you had to tell him but you needed to know that he felt the same for you as you did for him.
You took another few months to grow some balls and actually tell Stefan you had feelings for him. And to your surprise he felt the same way for you but was too scared to say anything because he didn't want to ruin your friendship.

For the first time in forever the both of you were happier than ever with each other. You were both so comfortable with talking to one another which had to be a perk of being best friends for 17 years of your life.

You moved in with Stefan 6 months after dating and things were better then ever. You found that you could sleep better knowing he was next to you keeping you safe throughout the night. You'd usually fall asleep around 2am after a long conversation with Stefan over something totally random. You always enjoyed those conversations they were always so heart felt.

That bubble of love seemed to last 3 whole years before the fights and jealously sunk in.

You'd go hours or sometimes days without speaking due to fights and you'd always end up running crying over to your sister Caroline's house. She didn't seem to mind since she loved you so much.  you became closer to your sister Caroline because of those fights, Since she was up basically all night with you in a crying state over those petty arguments which left you so hearts broken all over again.

But of course those fights never lasted long because you both knew that you loved each other and that would never ever change.
Love like Stefan and yours would never ever be broken over petty arguments or jealousy.

2 years after all the arguments and fights had all died down and you'd gone back to the way things were Stefan proposed to you.

It was the most beautiful proposal ever and you loved him so much more because of it.
You were both out for dinner at some fancy restaurant and Stefan pushed a small box over to you with a cheeky smile on his face.
Of course you didn't have to open the box to even know what he was trying to say.
You almost yelled "yes" before pulling him into a passionate kiss.

Today you'd decided to stay in with your fiancé since there wasn't much more to do for the wedding as Caroline had practically planned everything.
Only your dress was your decision. Which you didn't mind. It was one less thing to worry about. Plus you weren't feeling very well as you'd been throwing up all morning which wasn't the best feeling in the world.

" Caroline's band me from drinking on my bachelor party." Stefan began as he wrapped his arms around you and kissed the top of your head softly.
" which is probably smart since I don't want to be hung over on the best day of my life." Stefan hummed as he pulled your mouth to his and kissed you.
