====================
Note, this is my first time to ever write a fanfiction, so constructive criticism is welcome! I do not own naruto. There will be colorful language.
====================
I woke up in the empty clan house. Sighing, I made some breakfast. Then I remembered something. "Holy shit I graduated yesterday. I need to go and find out who all is on my team. For the love of god I hope I don't get Sakura or Ino. I hate fan girls. And please no Sasuke. They bug me enough already.
"Tristis!" Called a voice. Turning, I saw a sprinting girl. Of course I did. This happens every day. "Tristis, we are going to be late! Let's run!" I groaned.
"At this rate we are going to get there 5 minutes early, we won't be late."
She turned her nose up and started running. I watched her scurry and sighed. "As Shikamaru would say, troublesome women." I muttered, before starting to sprint. I was the fastest person in my graduating class. I was also one of the best at taijutsu. My clan was generally good with that. Too bad none of them but me are left.
I caught up to her in no time, hardly breaking a sweat.
"Damn Tris you can run," Mika said, between breaths.
"You knew that already," I said.
"Shut up!"
I rolled my eyes and picked up the pace. I was flying through the streets. Mika was left in the dust.
I got to the financial district of Konoha where the shops are and I jumped to the roof. It was starting to get real close to the academy. I ran alongside a fence, speeding through the sidewalk.
I started thinking about what team I wanted to be on again. Shikamaru would be nice, but then again, I probably have Choji too, and that would be too much. I sighed.
Suddenly something caught my eye. Looking up, I saw a part of the fence drop away and someone stepped out. I didn't have time to stop. Shit.
BANG!
I now (literally) flew through the air. I landed by doing a few rolls and turning around. As an orange jumpsuit came up I thought of another person I didn't want to be with. Naruto. Just too loud, but a nice guy.
"Hey what's the big idea! I'll beat you to a pulp, believe it!" Naruto said angrily.
"I was in a race with Mika and you popped out of the fence," I explained, "are you ok?"
"Oh," he said, face brightening, "can I join?"
"Uhh sure" I said.
"Sweet, last one there has to buy me a bowl of ramen!" He cried, running off.
"He certainly lives life in the fast lane." I muttered before starting running again and seeing Mika behind me. I waited for her.
"You owe Naruto a bowl of ramen!" I yelled to her before matching her speed.
"Why's that?" She asked.
"Bye!" I said, resuming my previous pace. I saw Naruto sitting at the front door when I got there. He was drenched in sweat, but when he saw me arrive he went crazy.
"YAY FREE RAMEN FREE RAMEN FREE RAMEN FREE RAMEN."
I smiled and saw Mika running in. Naruto ran up to her and cried out "you owe me ramen!"
Mika looked confused and I burst out laughing. I walked into class and simply took a seat. Mika sat next to me.
"Uhh guys?" Naruto said. We turned to him. "Can I sit with you guys?"
"Sure!" Mika said. His face lit up like nothing I had ever seen before. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad to have him on my team.
Iruka started calling out names and I zoned out. "Team 15, Mika Bukintan, Kurai Tristis, and Rin Sabalin." Fuck. I was the only guy. This sucked. But Mika was on my team! So this could be ok.
====================
"Where is our Sensei?" Mika asked, "He was supposed to get here several minutes ago." I stayed silent. He would show up.
"Hello there!" came a loud voice. We all looked up. Standing infront of us was a man with tattoos all over his body except for his face and neck. He wore black with a red vest. On the top left of the vest there was a strange symbol that looked like a circle of fire had been inverted. "I'm Slade"
"My name is Kurai, but you can call me Tris, everyone does." I said.
"Mika!" Mika chirped.
"R-Rin," the shy girl with white hair said.
"Last names!" Slade called, "They are much more important in the shinobi world!"
"Tristis," I called. His eyes flowed over me.
"Bukintan," Mika said.
"Sabalin," Rin stuttered.
"And for me, Sylin," Slade said, "All of us are in a group because we are all the last remaining members of our clans. So what we need to do is learn what each of our clans specific skills are, if it's some sort of clan secret then you can tell me later but we do need to know stuff. I'll go first. These tattoos are jutsus trapped in my body. I can choose to release them to perform jutsus without using any chakra. It does leave a nasty scar and it tears up my skin pretty nicely. Next, Mika."
"My Clan is very good at water jutsus, we have a kekkei genkai of blood work. If we punch someone, we can mess up their blood flow. Thats about it..."
"M-my clan can paralyze people," Rin said. We all looked at her waiting for more. She blushed and shook her head.
"I guess I'll go then. My clan can master lightning jutsus like nobodies business. We are fast, and have a good natural affinity for taijutsu." I left out the part about my eyes. Slade could know.
"I believe that your clan has a dojutsu as well Kurai?" Slade asked mischeviously. I sighed.
"Yes, we do. Our eyes change to a deep purple and black cross pattern. We can absorb information faster, our reflexes are improved to the point of unrealisticness and time can seem to slow down. We become insanely perceptive. It wastes hardly any chakra."
"Good, now we all know each other. Meet me early in the morning tomorrow. We have a test." and with that Slade left.
"See you guys later." I called as I left.
"Hey Tris!" Mika called as I left, "TRIS!" I started sprinting. They weren't supposed to know about the eyes. I wasn't supposed to tell anyone.
