It had been months after Fuyuko had left Mondo. Hibiki had let the broken girl stay with her as well as the two dogs. Whenever the two passed Mondo in the hallways at school, they made sure to stay in a group with Fuyuko on the inside and distracted. Hibiki always shot Mondo a deadly glare that said, "You broke her heart, I will break you if you touch her." Mondo couldn't stand it. He made the mistake and he wanted so badly to fix it. He missed her smaller figure snuggled up to his when they went to bed. He missed her adorable giggles and happy compliments to him. He missed having someone who wanted him next to them, someone who wanted him to protect them as they protected him.

Fuyuko was not much better off. She felt lonely and empty. A lot of times, she'd refuse to go anywhere with her friends and would just stay in her room and stare out the window. At school, she'd ignore Mondo and his friends completely. She refused to talk to anyone that was connected to him. Anytime his name was even barely mentioned, she'd break down. She really did want to go back to him, talk and maybe work things out so they can at least stop avoiding each other. But she just couldn't get over how much he hurt her, how he betrayed her.

The two had just been minding their own business. Mondo was chatting with Ishimaru and Fujisaki, and Fuyuko was making light conversation with Sayaka Maizono and Kaede Akamatsu. They had paid no mind to the other. Fuyuko had got up to grab a book from the front of the class and on her way back she collided with Mondo. More like, she ran head first into him and he stood there like a wall because she was so light. At first, Mondo didn't do anything since he would've expected that if he did, he would probably get chewed out by Hibiki or Fuyuko herself. Fuyuko was slightly dazed, so she hesitated before picking up the book she had dropped. She was going to pick herself up, when a hand reached down in front of her. Mondo wasn't looking directly at her and he didn't seem to say anything, so she hesitantly took his hand and he helped pull her back to her feet.

"T-Thanks Owada," she said to him quietly before carefully brushing passed him and starting back to her friends. He gently grabbed her wrist, interrupting her. She snapped back towards him and he carefully placed a piece of paper in her hand before walking off. She blinked twice, then looked at the paper.

'Meet me at the cafe after school.' She bit her lip nervously. She really wasn't prepared for confrontation, especially by him. Either way, she didn't tell Maizono or Akamatsu when she returned to her seat, even after they pressured her for the rest of class.

After school, Mondo rushed straight to the cafe. He knew Fuyuko was fast, especially when it came to the city. She knew the entire place like the back of her hand, and knew specifically which streets held which shops and alleyways. If you were unaware of her, she could easily scare you.Thankfully, he was early and calmly entered. He watched her enter a few moments later and stalk up to the counter. She ordered her drink and then walked over to where the biker was sitting and sat across from him. The first few moments were filled with silence, as neither didn't really know what to say. Mondo was starting to think it was a bad idea to meet her, he should've known she wasn't going to be willing to speak to him.

"Why..?" Mondo came back from his thoughts when her quiet voice caught his attention. "Why did you do what you did? W-Was it because I set those boundaries down..?" She was obviously trying not to cry. Talking about the situation was hard for the both of them. Talking about it with each other was something neither wanted to do.

"N-No.. It wasn't.. I-I was just being self centered and arrogant. It wasn't your fault Fuyuko," he didn't scold himself for stuttering, like usual. He was scolding himself for being so blind and hurting the one who loved him the most. If he couldn't fix it now, he'll never live this down. She hesitantly took off her hood, which revealed tears pricking her eyes.

"I-I want to forgive you, but.." she started, looking away slightly.

"Hey, ya don't have to. Ya deserve someone better, not a lowlife like me. I fucked this up. Ya don't have to forgive me for nothin'." He interrupted with a sigh. He meant what he said. She truly deserves someone better than him. He was a criminal. Someone who should not be dating a girl on the other side of the law. He closed his eyes, prepared for the worst.

His eyes snapped back open upon feeling a tiny kiss on his right cheek. She reacted slightly, a familiar pink blush adorning her cheeks.

"I just want to make sure you won't make such a mistake again. I was afraid I lost you to your urges." That was all that was needed to be said. He started tearing up, resisting the urge to hug her right then and there.

"I promise you, I won't make the same mistake twice," he said in a shaky voice. She smiled her adorably shy smile that he always loved and grabbed her tea, gesturing for him to follow her as she exited. Once the two of the got outside, she placed her cup down and hugged him tightly. Tears streamed down both of their faces as they hugged each other, neither really willing to break away from the embrace. They both missed each other dearly. He buried his face into her shoulder.

"I'm so god damn sorry, I fucked up," he sobbed.

"Don't worry," she whispered back, "I've already forgiven you."
