(You and your soulmate have the same tune stuck in your head.)
Fuyuko wasn't much of a singer. She loved to do it, but not where anyone could hear. It was a side passion that let her explain feelings she couldn't by just normally speaking.
But she's always had this one tune in her head.
She really didn't know what it was, even after asking Ibuki Mioda about it. All Ibuki said was, "It's probably Fuyuko's soulmate tune!" That just confused the mysterious girl even more. At a young age she had never been taught about soulmates. She merely heard of the subject. Ibuki explained it the best she could, but it didn't help too much.
"Maybe I should just put lyrics to the tune, and maybe that'll help figure things out?" Fuyuko suggested, though slightly unsure if she was really cut out for making lyrics to a tune. Ibuki nodded her head excitedly.
"Oo! Oo! Ibuki will get Sayaka to help too!" And it was set. Ibuki and Sayaka met after school with Fuyuko and slowly started helping her come up with lyrics. They all decided that it would sound better if the tune in mind was played on a piano, this Kaede joined. The three musicians helped Fuyuko the best they could, and after a week they had all put a beautiful song together.
"Oh Fuyuko! I think you should perform it for that huge school anniversary party! You know, to find your soulmate! It is your soul song after all." Suggested Kaede. Fuyuko has never sung in front of anyone, much less a crowd where everyone could see her up on a stage. The thought made her nervous. Plus, she wasn't planning to go to the school anniversary anyways, she didn't have anything formal enough to wear. But the three kept pushing, so finally she caved and agreed to do it.
The day of was chaotic. Everyone was practicing their acts for the show later that night and dressing their best. After the musicians had finished their outfits, they were set on helping Fuyuko even more. They dressed her in a black, long sleeve, high low dress. Silver stud earrings adorned her ears and a black rose was tucked neatly in her hair. She wore nice black ankle boots with a slight heel. They forced her to go without her cloak that night, much to her discomfort. They gave her simple, yet elegant makeup.
"Ibuki thinks Fuyuko looks soooo pretty! Everyone will be looking at how pretty she is tonight!" The rocker was practically bouncing off the walls with excitement as she handed the other girl a silver ribbon with a black rose on it and button snaps to make it a neat bracelet. The girl stood and looked herself over in the mirror. Out of all the other girls, she was the only one to be dressed in black. But she gave a small smile to the three.
"Thank you for doing this for me. You all are too kind." They walked to the event together, laughing along the way. Upon entering though, as Ibuki had thought, everyone turned their heads to them. Specifically, they turned their gaze to Fuyuko. She blushed slightly from the sudden attention, but followed her friends as they made way to the stage. Kaede helped Fuyuko up and took her seat at the piano, while the latter hesitantly stepped towards the mic. Eyes were still on her, making her shift uncomfortably. She gave a thumbs up to Kaede and took a deep breath as the pianist started playing. She didn't want to look at the crowd's blatant stares, so she closed her eyes and started singing.
Mondo had no idea what he was doing at this party. Of course, Ishimaru and Kuwata had invited him to find his soulmate, but he really didn't have any hopes of finding such. Honestly, he didn't care. Yeah, he loved that tune that got stuck in his head. When he was riding or walking around, that was all he would hum. So when a certain mysterious girl walked up onstage with that tune playing, heads started turning to him. Everyone knew he didn't care about finding his soulmate so they were all afraid of how he'd react to hearing his tune having lyrics added and being sung by the girl on the opposite side of the law as he.
Thankfully for them, he didn't react how they thought.
Hearing the tune and with such powerful lyrics with it caused his face to light up instantly. He started singing along, slowly pushing his way to the front of the crowd. He looked quite nice tonight, Taka had forced him to wear a nice suit for the occasion. He managed to get right up in front of her. Seeing her up close, she was truly beautiful. Her pale face had an adorably tiny blush on it and her eyes were covered neatly in a dark eyeshadow. Of course, her right eye was still covered by her bangs, she never shows her right eye. But everything about her was so beautiful, she was all he could focus on as he subconsciously hummed along with her melodic voice.
When she finished, the crowd erupted into applause. It had been the first time she sung in front of a crowd after all, and that took courage. Her face was bright pink out of embarrassment and she quickly hurried off the stage.
And she ran straight into Mondo.
She fell to the ground and was relatively dazed and confused. He reached his hand out to help her up, which she hesitantly took.
"Ya okay?" He asked her as he gently helped her up, something odd for such a rebellious biker.
"U-Uh, yeah. Thanks." She replied shyly. She looked away slightly, but her head snapped back to him when he started humming her soul tune. "O-Oh, I didn't think people would like the song that much.." she stuttered, "it's supposedly my soul song."
He smiled at her. "I've had that tune stuck in my head since I was a lil kiddo. So that means.." She pieced two and two together.
"H-Hello, soulmate..." she said quietly. He smiled wider.
"Aye, don't be so shy around me, I'm a chill dude. We should get to know each other better." He held his arm out and she carefully took it with a shy smile and a nod. He escorted her to his table. For the rest of the night, they talked together. It was the start of a friendship between a wolf and a rabbit.
{ AN: This is a piece of crap but whatever. Also, I'm writing the other characters with their ships as well, so don't worry about this being entirely Fuyuko. It won't be. }
