Bakugo's sleep had been continuously disturbed by the reappearance of Kirishima. His memories distorted and turned into horrific nightmares that plagued his every sleeping moment; now to the point where coffee had become his best friend. Sleep was something he never enjoyed or looked forward too, but knew that it would happen in due time. Some nights were worse than others but nonetheless, they all followed the same pattern.
They always began as a gentle dream, flowing with memories and happy times form which he and Kirishima brought. Everything was fine, They were happy and they prospered in every mission they encountered. However, they always turned sour. The encounters twisted into hateful comments and fights Bakugo never thought he would have with Kirishima.
Tonight was...seemingly different.
Kirishima and Bakugo had finally got through the mission they had been set on, simply to save the hostages in a capture situation. It was a random fling that passed as they walked together, but it was nothing serious. Nothing like the real life shit they had to deal with. The streets were always plagued with villains, Bakugo new first hand that the horrors of random villainous acts that occurred everywhere. He had no choice but to act whilst he could. Though, he was lucky to have Kirishimar at his side.
Then he could finally let loose.
"Finally. They can deal with the rest of this shit now." Bakugo said in an annoys mutter, kicking over the villain that had attacked the streets. He was unconscious of course, but all Bakugo wanted to do was beat him up.
"You know, Bakugo..." Kirishima said and sat down. The environment and changed into a clear white floor, walls and ceiling. Nothing but white everywhere. Typical. "...You never got to say goodbye." Kirishima finished, his eyes fixed on Bakugo. They were hollowed and tired, though the same stupid grin remained on his face.
"I don't have to say goodbye because you're not dead, dumb ass." Bakugo said, folding his arms with a glare. "You wouldn't be be here otherwise." He finished. Kirishima only stood up and with a strong embrace, wrapped his arms around Bakugo.
"Bakugo, you know I'm gone. You need to accept it so you can't be in pain anymore." He said, pulling back and raising an eyebrow at him, resting a gentle hand on his cheek. "Please. For me." He whispered.
Bakugo's expression never changed. He still had the same angry scowl covering his features, his fingers shaking in the tight fists he held at his chest. Though, his bottom lip quivered. "No." He said, his voice still angered. However, It shook with a desperate attempt to remain strong. Of course he knew that Kirishima was gone. If he accepted it then he wouldn't be able to pull himself back together. "The only reason I'm able to keep going is the chance you're alive you dumb ass! Can't you understand?! You need to come back to me so I can be right. So I can tell your stupid ass everything." He said. The race bubbling inside him was no illusion, but he was sure this was only fiction.
Kirishima didn't move. His face remained in the cocky smirk, much like in the pictures he took with Bakugo. "I won't say it out loud." He seethed through his teeth.* * *
His eyes opened to the sight of his bedroom ceiling. The darkness shrouded everything but his immediate view and eventually, so did the tears. They blurred his vision and slipped down his cheeks onto the pillow resting below his head. This dream was different to the others; clearly, his subconscious wanted to forget. Wanted to forgive and finally correct the way Bakugo saw everything now - bitter, cold and unforgiving.Slipping out from underneath the covers he went and sat at his desk, pulling out a piece of paper and beginning to write. Again. The letters he continuously wrote were all sorted in a metal case underneath his bed so no one would ever find them. It was the safest place for them. Eventually, he knew they would find their way into the ground in the middle of nowhere. No one would ever find them there, just how he wanted it to be.
'Dear Kiri,
This is goodbye then. If you really want to say goodbye and forget me then fine. Be like that.
But know, I will never forget you. You will always haunt my dreams you dick. I can't believe That you've done this to Me. I hope you're looking down from whenever the fuck you are and you're upset.
If not then I'll have issues with you when I see you next.
I'll never forgive you. Don't forget that, shitty hair. You're the one that's made this difficult for me, I was fine before you. Now, you've given me a life of hell. Every waking moment I spend aching for your stupid smile to be real again. To be with me with All of your stupid shitty jokes and the way you just laugh and smile. Once more, that's all I ask.
Fuck you. Fuck you for everything you've done and I just wish that you could see t all. See what you've done to me and the others because I'm not the only one who's broken by this.I hate to break it to you but we all loved you. Everyone wanted to see you prosper and get through anything. Together, we were supposed to do it together. I loved you the most though and I'll never forgive or forget you.'
Once again the words spilled out onto the paper. It happened every single time. It was like tlakign to Kriishima all over again, however the lack of replies made it so much easier to explain everything. Bakugo was never a person of words - he couldn't express things with ease. Now though, everything seemed to flow.
"Why is it now that I can tell you every thing, shitty hair? Why is it now that you're not here I can tell you how I feel?" He muttered, tossing his own away and putting the paper back into the box with All of the others, crouching against his head and staring at the floor.
"Come back."
