Katy's P.O.V

A little girl was sat on a bench and a few boys were gathering around her. I heard them shout names at her like 'fat' 'ugly' 'worthless' and felt utterly disgusted. Without thought, I got up and picked up this little girl. She looked bruised and battered and was bawling. I couldn't help but feel sorry for her. As soon as we were away from the park, she wispered two very faint words "thank you." We got to my house and i set her on my sofa. She immediatley looked at home.

The next thing i knew, i was on a sofa. I could smell a very sweet scent and it made me feel at ease. I didn't want to leave this place that i felt comfort, but I had to. With that, I got up and walked out of the door and strolled home. As soon as I entered the house, the familiar smell of alcohol met my nose. I cringed as my father struck me with his hand. "where were you?!" I didnt answer and he hit me again. I couldn't take this anymore.

No matter what I did, I couldn't stop thinking of the little girl I rescued. I couldnt syop thinking how broken she looked and how weak her voice was. There was something about her that made me feel less lonely. I know it's stuid, we hardly even met but she made me feel less alone. I had to find her again and make sure she was okay. I had to make sure she was safe and make sure she has someone to talk to. Something that I never had.
