chapter 8

Katy's P.O.V

I couldnt sleep. Something good finally happend to me and it was snatched away like that. So many thoughts kapt playing through my mind. She could be dead. He could be abusing her even more. Where is she. Why is he doing this? I couldnt stop thinking for just a second. I had to go and look for her myself. I picked up my keys and everything that I would need. I got in my car and drove off. Where is she. Where should I go first? I was finding it difficult to drive but carried on. I had to find her. She means so much to me. I heard muffled screams coming from the distance. I drove towards the forest and they became louder. Who could this be? I drove up the path and followed the screams. There was a white van, the doors were open. It was then that there was an ear peircing scream. I saw Lucy, she was being beaat and covered in blood. Without thinking, I ran over. Before that, I remembered to call 911. I had to get her away from this man. I was lost in thought when I saw the van coming straight at me. I ran behind it and reaced for the doors. As soon as Lucy saw me, she lept over and I had saved her. As I did so, the police arrived and arrested her 'father'. She was finally going to be safe eith that scumbag behind bars.

Lucy's P.O.V

I woke up inside a dark room. I had realised this was my bedroom. I was back in my old house. Why does his have to happen to me? I miss Katy. She will be so worried.

"I see that you are finally awake then."

He had a smug smile on his face. I didn't answer.

"You can't hide from me, I thought you knew better."

"Why are you doing this? I was finally happy. Why did you have to take me away from Katy. She isn't even family yet she is a much better parent than you will ever be!"

As I said that, I felt a sting across my face. He slapped me, again. He left the room and i heard a click. He locked the door. Why was he doing this? I laid down under my blanket and sobbed. Katy must be so worried. I hate his. I need to find a way out, sobbing isnt going to solve anything. I got up and looked out of the window. I couldn't climb out of it because there were steel bars. I kept knocking in hope that soneone will see me and rescue me. Nobody was around. As I tried to clim up, I slipped and fell down. As soon as I fell, he came i and dragged me to a van. I was terrified and had no idea what to do.The next thing I knew, I was lying on the cold hard ground. I saw some treed all around. I gathered we were in a forest. I need people to hear me. Maybe if I scream. So I screamed a couple of times but it was no use. He came back and kicked me on the ribs. Really hard, I heard them crack. I couldn't help it, but i screamed again. He kept kicking me and I tried not to scream but everytime, he kicked me harder. My screams started to subside and he stopped kicking me. He walked over to the van and came back with a gag. He put it in my mouth and I tried my hardest not to let him, but he punched me on the face. I was bleeding all over and i so much pain. Once the gag was in, he started punching me, kicking me and hitting me with various objects. I was hurting so bad but i couldn't scream. Tears were rolling out of my eyes. Suddenly, I heard an engine coming up the path. I was then thrown into the back of a van. I shut my eyes tight and heard Katy's voice. I opened my eyes and Katy was there. I couldn't move so she lifted me out.

"Oh baby, you are alive. We are going to get you to hospital."

We finally got to hospital and I was in so much pain. I soon passed out.
