Part 9

Sean smiled back: No Kayc, it's just a wish I had for so long and now you could help me to make it come true...  

Kaycee looked at him and answered a little hesitantly.

Kaycee: I'm sorry, I cant.

Sean: What?

Kaycee: I cant go on a date with you.

Sean: Why?.... Dont... dont you like me?

Sean was really confused and also sad, he was sure that Kaycee would say yes to him and didnt understand her behaviour at all.

Kaycee: Noo, I do like you, it's just... How do you felt today?

Sean sighed: Kaycee, what do you want?

Kaycee: Just answer the question Sean.

Sean: Ok, then.. I was happy, because I would surprise you but also nervous because I couldnt tell how you would react. I mean I hoped you would be happy, but of course I had my doubts, you can never be really sure. And last night (he smiled)...last night was really bad. I dont think I slept at all, I was just so nervous, I still am.  And you cant imagine how many times I changed my outfit to look good for you. 

Kaycee listened to him and the smile on his face made her smile, his words warmed her heart. It was great hearing about his excitement for today.

Kaycee: See, thats what I am talking about.... Do you wanna know how I felt today?

Sean nod his head and waited for Kaycee to go on.

Kaycee: I felt miserable. I didnt even once look at myself in the mirror. I wasnt nervous at all or had butterflies in my stomach. I didnt care how my hair looked or if I had make up on or not... I just had guilty conscience about this whole thing with David... was sad and unhappy.... and... and mad at you because you werent jealous, you didnt even call or text me once.... 

Kaycee made a pause and whispered her last sentence.

Kaycee: Today was one of my worst days ever.

Sean came slowly closer to her, put one wisp of hair behind Kaycees ear and spoke calmly.

Sean: Allow me to turn it into your best day ever then...I know that today wasnt as you expected it to be, but that was the whole point. I thought that the surprise would be much bigger because of that and you would be happy.

Kaycee: So you hurt me on purpose?

Sean: Noo, dont say that Kayc, I would never ever purposely hurt you. It was just a part of the plan, you know like mission: jealousy. 

He winked.

Kaycee: You ... you know about that?

Sean: Yes and just so you know I was jealous, you cant even imagine how jealous I was at him.

Kaycee: you mean at David. 

Kaycee smiled now.

Sean: Why is everbody saying his name? I know it ok, I just hate this name.

Kaycee: Why, I think DAVID is a great name.

Sean was looking really mad now and staring at her.

Sean: And I hate it even more when you say it.

They were looking at each others eyes and were lost again. Kaycee noticed that this happened a lot lately, she just forgot time and place when she was looking him in the eyes. And to know that she had the same effect on him made her more than happy. After a while Sean was the first to speak.
