Y/n pov:

You countenued to walk down the sewers injecting the last dose of whatever you could find in the pharmacy, all you wanted to do now was forget and try not to remember that disgusting sight of your mother...well you know. After that you started to walk around the city, but you couldent get very far without runing into one of those things so you figured that the sewers would be your best bet. But now You were starting to feel strange, like something was kicking in...maybe it was all that random shit you took, there was a strange looking one it was kinda orange and even glowing a bit...well that dint matter now, now you just wanted to sit down and let thise things come and kill you after all You just wanted to be with your famiky again. Now you were hearing noises, groaning and even some footsteps.

Y/n:must be a few of those things...how did they get in here?

You leaned against a wall and looked to see that you were right, there were at least 3 but you still dint care...you might as well just let them kill you. The undead got closer..mand closer, you could smell them now.

Y/n:ill see you soon mom...

Just before the zombies got to close you herd...a scream? Not a zombie scream...no it almost sounded like...a girl? The zombies were now right infront of you but before they could bite you quickly shot all 3 of them in the head, they were point blank after all it wasent hard.

Y/n:all right little girl you just ruined my death...so where the hell are you?

You herd the scream again, but this time it sounded closer. Way closer! You ran around the corner and saw at least 5 zombies chaseing something... or someone. You did your best to sneek behind them and tried to peek through to see what they were chaseing, it was that girl! But...she looked a little young. Well, younger than you. At least 2 years, the zombies were closeing in and the girl must've relised she came up on a dead end because now she was crouching in tbe corner covering her eyes.

Y/n:(in mind) its...not my problem.

You turned to sneek away but now the girl started to cry, you kept grumbleing to yourself on what to do.

Y/n:*sigh* for the love of-

You tunred around and opend fire on the zombies, killing all of them exept one who was still focused on the girl. You aimd and fired...but only herd a click.

Y/n:seriously? Now?!

You ran up and kicked the zombie on the knee bringing it down to your hight then grabed its head and slamed it into the water, finally you stomped on it killing it instantly. You started to catch your breath, then finally looked at the girl who was still in the corner. You dint know what to say conisdering the fact that she still looked terrified so you simply said.

Y/n:you alright?

She dint say anything, she simply barley peeked her head out to look at you. Strange...she was still wearing her school uniform, not realy good in this situation. You took one step towards her but the second you did she jumped up and backed against the wall.

Girl:stay back! Or ill...ill.

You gave her a questioning look.

Y/n:your not going to do anything.

Girl:you dont know that!

Y/n:i know killers, seen my share and you aint one of em. How you reacted to those zombies kinda proves my point.

She frantically looked around, maybe she was trying to find a weapon.

Y/n:look could you calm down? Im not going to hurt you.

Girl:how can i trust you?

Y/n:oh you cant, and i dont blame you if you dont but last time i checked you dont deal very well with those things so the least i can get is a thank you.

She looked like she was starting to calm down.

Girl:wheres clare?

Y/n:who?

After you said that you herd a loud bang.

Girl:what was that?!

Y/n:hey hey hey calm down! Its probobly just the pipes or something.

You turned around ti see if there was anything that caused the noise, but it looked like you were good.

Y/n:well...looks like were all clear, if your looking for a way out theres one just down there...i think.

You started to walk away.

Girl:wait! Where are you going?

Y/n:oh you said you couldent trust me so im just leaveing...plus im not in the mood for dealing with little girls.

You turned and started to walk away again.

Girl:please dont! I know a woman who can get you out!

Y/n:dont want to leave.

Girl:why?

Again you stoped.

Y/n:thats...complicated.

Girl:well why save me if you know im just going to die down here alone?!

You lifted your head a bit and sighed, then turned around and faced her.

Girl:just please...help me get out of here, help me find my frend and then...then you can leave.

Y/n:well...i got nothing else better to do.

The girl now looked calm but still a little scared.

Y/n:hey dont be like that, dont worry in a few minutes we'll be out of here in no time.

Girl:but what if we run into those things?

You smiled and loaded your gun.

Y/n:you leave them to me, but if i tell you to hide you hide and dont come out tell i say understand?

She nodded.

Girl:ok...and thank you, ummm?

Y/n:y/n...y/n l/n

To your suprise the girl started to smile.

Girl:sherry birkin.

Y/n:well sherry we bettermove, last thing i want is to run into more of those things.

You both started to walk off but you kept thinking to yourself.

"What the hell did i just get myself into?"
