You dint know how long you'd been walking through the sewers, but for the sherry its must've felt like forever. Every turn you would make she would be terrified that the two of you would run into anothor infected and when you did she would scream, not to loud but loud enough to bring more infected to you. You were starting to get annoyed but still kept it to yourself as you entered anathor part of the sewer. This part looked like it had some sort of machines and balcony with it, you looked to your left and saw a dark unlit walkway that lead to anathor side. You started to cross but before you could you felt sherry grab your wrist.
Sherry:i-i-i cant...
You raised your eyebrow.
Y/n:what? Its just the dark!
Sherry:i just...cant ok? Im scared of the dark, that where those things are!
Now you were starting to get frustrated.
Y/n:sherry for the love of god! Its just-
You stoped yourself as you got a good look at her, she was already scared and your anger clearly wasent helping...cause now she was crying. But...you werent mad this time, or annoyed or anything. Now you felt...bad, sure maybe YOUR used to this maybe you can take it but shes...shes just a kid. And after everything shes seen...
Y/n:*sigh*...im...im sorry ok?
But she was still crying, you relised being a dick wasent really going to help, so you lowerd your voice and tried to sound calm and soothing.
Y/n:listen...I know your scared...but the longer we stay down here the worse it's gonna get. I need you to trust me and just-
You stoped for a minute, in the corner of your eyes you managed to see that there was a flare laying on the ground.
Y/n:here how about this?
You walked over and picked up the flare, after that you grabbed Sherry's hand and started to walk backwards. She tried to stop you from pulling her into the darkness but soon after you lit the flare.
Y/n:see? Now we're good.
She still looked around scared.
Y/n:hey...hey! Don't look around, just look at me.
She slowly turned her face, and kept her eyes on you the hole time.
Y/n:don't think about the darkness, or those things or anything else. Just keep your eyes on me.
Her breathing started to slow down, at this point you were almost out of the darkness. Finally you reached the end and tossed the flare.
Y/n:look at that! Were through.
She looked back at the dark hallway then to you and for once...she smiled.
Sherry:thanks...
Y/n:what are you talking about? You were brave enough to walk through! I just guided you a little bit.
To your surprise she started to giggle, it was...cute. Wait what?
Y/n:common, we gotta keep moving.
But as you turned around you noticed that you weren't in the sewers anymore, at least it dint look like it. Once you got to the center you heard and loud screech from a speaker then...a voice?
