      " You are stupid to think you can keep her prisoner in her own mind," The redhead women growled from her seat at the war table. Her curls bouncing as she gestured widely with her hands.
    " She is known across the community to have the strongest mind besides her sister in law." A raven haired boy huffed leaning back in his chair as he fiddled with a pawn chess piece.
" What would you have me do then? We captured her and tried to get that useless genie to do something and look where that got us. If memory surveys me right it was you who proposed the idea so any more brilliant plans Diana?" At the head of the table a young man sat with his hands clasped over the oak wood table tense and distraught.
" I've said my piece. To you and the small council. Bringing her here was a mistake, allowing her to live was a mistake. You've just forced the Volturi up our asses ten folds." Diana's temper flared causing her to  slam her palm down onto the table making the wine glasses that sat atop it shake.
" I can't say I disagree with our sister brother. Anastasia Volturi is a high guard and mate to one of their most powerful weapons. Her absents will not be taken lightly." A grave look crossed over the boys porcelain features as he thought of the unknown and unpredictable plans of the Volturi.
" Cullen. Anastasia Cullen. She has not married the witch brat yet. Or ever will for that matter. And as for your concerns...the Volturi will not strike unless they are certain of an opening. Insure that they do not get that opportunity." The older boy leaned back in his seat a smirk set firm on his face.
" Your ignorance will be your down fall, Grayson. And Me and Jonathan have front roll seats to your demise if you do not get rid of this girl." Diana pleaded with her brother seeing past the advantages of having the Volturi's princess of ashes. This girl had killed many loyalists and numbers were short as the Volturi put protection squads on powerful vampires and their covenant making it impossible for them to be taken.
    Diana had tried to see from her brother's side of argument.However what good was the stupid girl if she wasn't easily controlled.
" That girl is a heavy barging chip if I where to ever come close to my downfall. Caius cares for the girl like a father and the kings do anything their wives commanded if it keeps the whores happy. Athenodora will surely want her daughter back no matter the price." Grayson sat up an angry fire in his eyes one only his little sister brought out.
   " Maybe. But what good is she to us if she escapes? It's only a matter of time before she gets past your little mind games. The girl is smart and won't attack us from the inside even if her pride screams for it. She'll seek out her Volturi guard and attack us when their ready." Johnathan flicked the pawn onto its side making a small tink nose as the glass made contact with the wood.
   " Calm yourself little brother. The girl is running around in a maze of dreams and nightmares I think I've out done myself with this little game."  As the oldest of the three gloats,the two younger siblings make silent eye contact and a messages passes between them.
    Anastasia Volturi would be their brother's first mistake.

ANASTASIA
~~~
A seagulls cry echoed in the background of my brain as I stared out into the harbor. My eyes burned with tears as I glared down the setting sun a beautiful mix of purple and red painting the sky. Walking forward the old rotten wood under my feet creaked and groaned in warning but I couldn't stop myself. Each step I took the sunset would get dimmer and dimmer until I stood at the edge of the dock.
The sky held a warm hue of red that reflected onto the dark sea reminding me of the old sailors tale. Sighing quietly I didn't bother turning when another set of footsteps caused the rotten wood to scream out in protest.
" Why this harbor?" Dominic came to stand beside me and I slowly turned to look at him. His combed back blonde hair not moving an inch even with the harsh winds knocking against us. Even with my external features keeping my true emotions guarded I could do little to stop my internal torment. The bottom of my stomach filling with pure hatred as the disgusting smell of soap and sea wrapped it's sticky fingers around my throat.
" You know your death was the one thing I thought would bring me happiness, but it only bought me more grief." I growl at his ghostly figure. He was supposed to intimidate me, make me a coward in fear but I wasn't that small meek little girl anymore.
" How so?" He smirks at me and I turn back to look straight ahead the last light source disappearing. Swallowed by the unforgiving darkness. Waves raised dangerously and slammed harshly against the piers sides rocking the foundation slightly.
" I wanted you to suffer for an eternity like I was but your death was too quick for my taste." I smirked straightening my posture and watching as the raging sea awakens. Like a stirring beast ready to rip apart those who have disturbed it.
" As for your question Grayson I chose this harbor because I wanted you to see you truly have no control over my mind. You can trap me in here but I'll find a way out and when I do....as you can tell I don't take kindly to men who like to oppress me."  Pushing away small strands of my caramel hair out of my face I look up to the sky with a smug smile. The naive boy thought he could beat me at my own game. How wrong he was.
" You think you can beat me?" A gust of wind slams into us and the image of my ex fiancé shifts to a tall slender man with ginger hair and red eyes. He steps forward and roughly grabs onto my forearm shaking my smaller frame slightly. My once pinned back hair fell around my face like a curtain hiding away my smirk.
" I have your strongest personality's locked away from you what good can you do?!" He roars clearly pissed at losing a ounce of control. I knew his kind. Unfortunately, in my life, I had my fair share of men who thought the world was their chess board. Yet they never seem to realize who they were playing against until it was too late.
     " And yet here I stand before you." I raise my head tilting it back and allowing the man-child to see the smug smirk that danced on my face. As if sensing my victory the storm started to reach it's highest point the beast bucking and kicking against the unsteady pier. Lightning and thunder pounding against the sky shaking the very core of the earth.
"You can take my Veil, my humanity, and the hunters traits I hold but you can't erase the marks they left on my soul." I gave him an animalistic smile and with a nod of my head a large wave crashes down on the pier nearly whipping him off his feet.
" You think someone like you can defeat us?!" He screams at me and I can't help laugh loudly. This idiot had no idea what I was capable of, He only fears the princess of ashes. Id like to see his face when he meets my other half, my true Volturi side.
    " Look around  Grayson Juniper. Your gift can't help you here. It never could. I will get my personality's back and then I'll kick your ass." Spreading my arms I shut my eyes and fall back into the raging water behind me.
          Opening his eyes the oldest juniper looked up at the cracked ceiling with sea water in his eyes. Sitting up slowly he held his head in his hands anger tightening every muscle in his body. " AHH!!" A scream of frustration echoed off the walls as he lashed out throwing notes and books off his desk.  He would never admit it to his siblings or the council but even after taking the girl's center traits she was still very powerful.
     It didn't even take her an hour to break out of the chains he had placed on her mental state. No matter what nightmare scenario he threw her into she never submitted. Her mates death was the first one and he though that would break her for sure.
   But his plan backfired and she became angrier breaking off any control he had on her. Trying to get her back to a vulnerable place he played out the death of her family. It didn't phase her only made the anger rise. He then tried her fiancé beating her in the garden but the powerful girl only smiled brightly before ripping the image apart with her bare hands.
    Nothing made the girl scream in fright and beg for it to all go away he couldn't make her tic and it was driving him insane. Looking over to his bed he stood up and walked over to stand at its side. Her pale skin stood out against the red silk sheets and her black hair was placed around her head like a halo. He couldn't deny she was stunning. A goddess of some sorts which is probably why his followers were so easy to accept her as their long lost goddess.
    Clenching his fists he turned and punched the stone wall creating a large crater in its place. She may be beautiful but she could never be his. She was the witch twins' and there was no changing the love she held for him.
   Turning on his heels Grayson grabbed his cap and hastily tied it on before ripping the door open. He paused however and looked back at the goddess on his bed. A small smirk crept onto his face.
        ' If I can't have her then neither can he.'
