" Alec." The male witch twin looked down at his mate who was smiling brightly up at him. It was a rare day where Alec and Anastasia were both off duty. Deciding not to waste the rare occasion the lovers had decided to spend their day in the garden curled up together with a book between them. It felt amazing to be in each other's arms after such a long time apart.
" Yes my love?" Alec gently rubbed circles into her cheek smiling when she leaned into his touch momentarily forgetting what she was going to say. He loved how at ease the two were on there off hours a juxtaposition to when they were on duty.
" What's your favorite color?" It was so out of the blue yet Alec couldn't help think about the questions deeper meaning. Yes the two of them were mates but with separation and stubbornness getting in the way of their earlier encounters it was no surprise that they hadn't had time to figure each other out.
" Hmmm Black like my soul of course!" He snickered hiding his face in the crook of her neck. " You are so cringe!" Anastasia laughed slapping his chest lightly.
" ....Gold but with a rusted tint to it." He hummed after a calming moment of silence. Anastasia smiled softly at the thought of the connection between his love for older looking colors and his age.
" If I've heard correctly how to play this game it's your turn to answer love." Alec teased his fingers playing with a dangling piece of hair that hung out of her bun.
" Hmmm...dark blue. But not navy blue more like a raging storms blue. On the verge of black." She smiled thinking of the time she had traveled across the sea and a raging storm rolled into their route throwing the sea into a beautiful chaos.
Alec wrapped his arms around his mate tugging her closer to him. It was unreal to have her in his arms. Safe. And he would rip anyone apart who ever threatened this.

Glaring at the prisoner Alec didn't truly believe the low life knew a signal source of information that would help them find his mate. It had been months and no one who would step out to track her would come back with any useful information.
Demetri was stunned when he couldn't find her trail. It nearly drove the man insane as he raced across the world but he could never find it. Anastasia wasn't exaggerating when she said they were like family.
Holland nearly ripped apart the Seattle area searching for her when he heard her scream. Now he was off tracking down any and all traitors to get information out of them.
" Gabriel bring him forward." Aro command his voice still but it held no lightness to it. After Anastasia's kidnapping the kings did everything they could to try and bring back their Princess of Ashes. Especially Caius who would rip apart anyone who would mention Anastasia begin gone forever.
The emotionless guard shoved the prisoner forward and the young blonde man stumbled forward falling to his knees. Alec clenched his fists and struggled to hold himself back. He wanted to tear the man apart until he was screaming for mercy. Wanting nothing more then to make him feel the same torturous hallow feeling he felt.
Jane who stood by her twins side placed a firm hand on his arm keeping him anchored to his spot.

'If anything happens to me Jane I need you to promise me you'll make sure he doesn't do anything stupid.' Anastasia gripped her best friends hand as they waited for the private jet that would take her away. Jane gripped the girl's hand tightly and swallowed back her protest. She wanted to tell the her she would be ok. That they would be back in Italy in a weeks time but she didn't know that. With this war coming closer and closer anything could happen in the three days they were away from her.

She cursed her best friend for being right. Anastasia had known something was going to happen but she refused to be scared and hide away. That's one of the reasons the pair got along so well.
No one understood how the female witch twin felt in that exact moment when she and her brother walked into the Cullen's home only to see the living room torn apart. They only assumed that Alec would be torn up about the disappearance of his mate. But Jane had also lost a best friend and sister.
When they entered the house Alec had immediately raced out in search of Anastasia screaming her name at the top of his lungs. But Jane stood frozen in her spot dread and anger seizing her in its claws. She was gone.

" Anastasia!!" Alec raced out of the destroyed living room rushing into the woods. Everything was spinning for the witch twin as he desperately searched the woods for his love. " Anastasia!!" His voice was heartbreaking as he called out for his lost mate. Racing past the wolf's territory Alec came to a halt in the middle of a meadow. Rain poured down making his hair stick to his forehead and his cape became ten times heavier, not that the vampire would notice, as he turned back to continue his search a small blue gleam caught his eye. Falling to his knees he reached a gloved covered hand forward and carefully picked up the fallen object. It's sapphire gem gleamed in the sun light and its diamond encrusted band was hidden by the mud that caked the beautiful jewelry. Bowing his head Alec gripped the ring in his fist, dark mist pouring out of his hands as he lost control.

" What information do you have to offer?" Marcus asked the kneeling vampire as his brother's glared down at the small weak man. Looking up at the three powerful vampires Henry sighed softly. He was damned if he didn't and he was damned if he did.
" I can tell you were they keep most of their army's of loyalists. At each base there's always one general that is in direct contact with the leader. They are the only ones that every see him.Its the best chance you'll have of ever finding her." He was straight to the point and Caius immediately sat up and glared down at the boy.
Alec's glare became harsher and Jane's grip on him became tighter. She to wished to crush the boy but for the sake of a lead  she would hold herself back.
" Show me." Aro held out his hand for the young boy to take. Henry stepped forward and every guard in the throne room tensed ready to attack the prisoner at the word of their masters.
Sliding his cracked hand into the enemy's Henry Goldsmith showed Aro Volturi everything he knew.
