XXII

November holds me as I lay my head across his chest.

"I can't believe we did that." I say sitting up.

He looks up at me with a big smile.

I reach over to grab my shorts and pull out a couple of cigarettes.

"Look what I brought."

I swear his smile gets bigger. He grabs a lighter off his nightstand and I pass him a cigarette. "You're an amazing woman, June Elizabeth."

I light my cigarette. "You're only saying that because I brought you cigs."

He blows out a puff of smoke before sitting up "That. And because I think you're an amazing woman"

I roll my eyes.

"You're full of it." I say causing him to laugh

"Maybe I am."
