"Hey man," char said as he walked inside.

"Char, what's up, how've you been?" Joey asked as he closed the door.

I rolled my eyes and kept facing the opposite way.

"Good, who is that on your couch," charles asked as he took off his shoes and walked into the living room.

"Oh, that's Raelynn. she's here for to my mom," he said in an annoyed tone.

I slowly slipped on my sweatshirt and wiped my eyes, "actually, i wasn't here to talk to your mom, i was here for you, but now i see that you invited someone else over, who i didn't even know you connected with, i guess i will just stay here for your mom and maybe sophia," i said in a raspy voice, since i had just been crying.

"Damn, that's cold," charles said, "but hi rae, I've missed you," he walked up to me to hug me but i moved back in fear.

I was scared, but I had no reason to be. Charles used to be my friend and I knew him, why was I scared?

"Are you alright?" Joey asked from behind charles.

I didn't answer I just stared and Charles. He stared back at me in surprise. "Yeah are you okay? you never turn down a hug," charles said.

"I-uh-"

"Raelynn, please come to the kitchen," jen called.

I ran to the bathroom and left behind Charles and joey, "yes, hi I'm here," i said.

"Your mom said that Cameron will be dropping you off a weeks worth of clothes along with your essentials," she explained to me.

"Thank you so much," i said and hugged her.

"No problem, i figured that I'd kick joey out of his room so you can sleep in a bed."

"Oh no that's okay, I can sleep on the couch, it's not like I haven't before," I said laughing.

She laughed, "alright, if you say so, but if you ever need anything, you know where to find me okay?"

"Yes of course, thank you again," i said.

She nodded and walked to her room. The doorbell rang and this time i answered it. Joey ran to the top of the steps and watched from above.

"Here's your things, I'm staying at Stacy's house so if you need anything please call me, mom is staying with her brother in case dad comes back okay?" Cameron said to me, handing me my bad.

I nodded and hugged her and started to cry, "thank you, i love you cam."

"Hey, dont cry now, your boy is watching," she said looking up at joey.

I turned around and looked at him, he looked at me and then walked back to his room, "yeah who cares, he has Charles over so it doesn't matter," i told her.

"Okay well I'll see you later okay bubs?" She asked.

"Okay, I'll talk to you later," i said as she walked back to the car. I closed the front door and walked over to the couch and covered up in the blanket that Jen gave me earlier.

I found the tv remote and turned on the tv. I put on an older movie, License to Drive. Corey Haim is in this movie, one of my favorites.

The movie ended and I saw lexi walk down the stairs, she walked into the living room and sat next to me, "so, are you and joey like a thing?" She asked me.

I laughed, "no, never, he's just my best friend," i answered her.

She sighed, "oh, he said he had a girlfriend and then you showed up, so I thought it was you, I'm sorry."

"Aw no, it's okay, he's dating the person who fucking hates my guts, so yeah no, not me, her name is colette." I told her.

"Oh damn, that's harsh, so why are you still on speaking terms with him? If he dated someone who hated my guts I'd be pretty mad at him," she said laughing.

"Oh trust me, I went off at him, but he explained and now we are all good."

"Oh, I see nice! well I'm heading out home, I'll see you sometime?" Lexi said as she stood up.

"Yeah if course, see ya!" I said and waved to her.

Lexi left and Joey came around the corner, "how late are you staying?" He asked.

"Uh, for at least a week," I answered.

"Can I ask why?" He said, sitting next to me.

I sighed,"I'd rather not talk about it right now."

"Why what's so bad about it?" He asked.

"I said I don't want to talk about it right now joey, can't you just leave it alone, I'll tell you when I'm ready," I said to him, getting a bit annoyed.

"Whatever, but just so you know Charles is spending the night tonight."

"Why would I care?" I asked.

"I don't know, just thought I'd tell you," he said and got up from the couch, "see ya later."

"yeah, see ya," I said and turned off the tv.

I looked at my phone and saw that it was 10pm. I plugged in my phone and took my sweatshirt off and pulled the blanket up over my arms. I closed my eyes and slowly fell asleep.

*dream*

"why would you even do that," my dad asked.

"do what? I didn't do anything," I answered him.

"That's bullshit, you're a liar, I can't believe you."

"Dad I didn't do anything I swear, I didn't tell them, it wasn't me."

"That's bullshit," he screamed and threw a vase in the same direction that I was in. It hit the wall and shattered.

"Dad I'm sorry, please," I said quietly.

"No you're lying, you're damn well lucky that didn't hit you," he said screaming at me.

"Leave her alone," joey shouted from behind my dad.

"Joey no, go home," I yelled to him.

"Ohh your boyfriends here?" My dad asked.

"He's not my boyfriend he's my best friend, please dad he didn't do anything," I said running over to joey.

"Then why is he here, he shouldn't be here," my dad yelled.

"He was just leaving, I'm sorry," I said and pushed joey out the front door and locked it shut.

My dad slammed his hand on the table and threw a lamp right where I was standing.

*dream over*

I woke up screaming. Foot steps were running down the stairs and running from the kitchen.

"Raelynn are you okay?" Jen asked, turning on the living room light.

I squinted my eyes, "what?"

"Are you okay?" Joey asked, sitting on the floor next to me.

"Oh, yeah I'm fine," I said in a raspy voice.

Jen walked over to me and wiped the tear streams away from my cheeks, "you were crying, what happened?" She asked.

I looked at joey and then back at her, "I had a dream and it wasn't a good one."

Jen sighed and sat next to me,"it's okay, you're safe here, he wont hurt you."

Joey's head shot up,"who won't hurt her?"

Jen and I looked at each other and i sighed.

"Rae, who?" Joey asked.
