"My dad," I said finally.

"What did he do," he asked getting mad.

I turned my shoulder over to hug so he could see. His eyes went big and then he looked to his mom, "You didn't tell me?" He asked.

"It was her choice whether to tell you, not mine," she answered calmly.

"But she's my best friend, you're supposed to tell me when she's hurt, even if she won't," he said raising his voice.

"Joey, I'm sorry I should've told you, don't take it out on your mom, I just wasn't ready to tell you." I said to him, taking his hand in mine.

He sighed and looked at me and then his mom,"I'm sorry," he said.

His mom nodded and then got up from the couch,"I'm going back to bed, but if you need anything, come get me immediately," she said and turned off the living room light.

Joey got up and turned on a lamp and sat by my head,"I'm sorry," he said.

I sat up and looked at him, "what are you sorry for?" I asked.

"For everything, how I didn't tell you I was dating colette, how I got mad when I thought you were here for my mom, for everything." He said looking at me.

"Hey it's okay, you didn't know and it's okay, you explained it to me, I understand." I said and laid my head on his shoulder.

"I'm breaking up with colette," joey blurted out.

I looked at him, "you're what?" I asked in surprise.

"I'm going to break up with her, my best friend means way more to me than some bully does, as long as you're happy I'll be okay," he said looking at me.

I smiled, "I'm not worried about you guys dating, I'm worried for what will happen when you guys break up," I said.

He sighed, "well no matter what happens, you'll always have me and norah, and now charles," he said with a smile.

"What do you mean and Charles?" I asked.

"Charles is going to be sitting with us at lunch from now on, he dropped the other guys because they're complete dicks, and plus he misses norah," he said and added a wink.

I laughed, "well where is char right now?"

"Sleeping in my bedroom on the floor," joey said and laughed.

"Oh, well I should let you sleep, plus we have school tomorrow, it's Thursday." I said, yawning.

"You're right, I'll see you in the morning rae, sleep well," he said and got off the couch, turned off the light, and went back upstairs.

I laid back down and thought about what was going to happen when joey broke up with colette, he never actually told me how long they were together, but that doesn't matter. Soon I fell asleep.

Hours later I woke up to the sound of pans being dropped. I sat up from the couch and stretched. I rubbed my eyes and got up, I walked to the kitchen where I saw sophia and jen cooking, "what time is it?" I asked in a raspy morning voice.

"Oh shit, we woke you up, I knew it sophia, it's too early for this," jen said and looked at sophia.

"Uh its 5:30," sophia replied with a cheesy smile.

"Oh, wow I slept 30 minutes past time i normally wake up at," i said smiling at them.

"Wait really?" Jen asked.

"Yeah, Cameron always wakes me up at 5:00 so she can get a Starbucks run and then drop me off at school," I said, walking over to my phone.

"That darn Cameron," jen said laughing.

"Sophia what time do you normally wake up at?" I asked her.

"Uh, around this time, sometimes 5:45, it all depends," she answered.

"Oh nice, who takes you to school?" I asked.

"Mom does, she's always awake at the crack of dawn, no matter what, it's crazy," sophia said while laughing and looking at her mom.

Her mom shrugs, "I hope you like waffles," she said as she got out the ingredients and started making them.

"Yes of course I do, my favorite," i said smiling, "is it okay if I take a quick shower?"

"Yes of course, use the one by Sophia's room," jen said and smiled.

I nodded and went to my bag where I grabbed my clothes and toothbrush, long with my makeup and hairbrush. I walked up the stairs and went into the bathroom which was by Sophia's room. I took my shower and got dressed.

I wore black, ripped, skinny jeans and an adidas long sleeved crop top. I brushed my teeth and my hair then put my hair in a messy bun. I didn't bother doing my makeup yet since I had about an hour till it was time to go.

"Hey rae, can you wake up the boys," yelled jen from the bottom of the stairs.

"Yeah of course," I yelled back.

I walked over to joey's bedroom door, it was closed so I knocked on it, there was no response so I slowly opened it. The lights were still off and it was pitch black, I flipped on the light switch and Charles shot up from the floor, "what the hell Rae?" I said, rubbing his eyes to adjust to the light.

"Sorry, jen said its time to wake up, there are waffles," I said and Charles got up, grabbed his clothes and went to the bathroom. The shower started, typical Charles.

Joey was still asleep, "what is this boys deal, still asleep with the light on, crazy," I said and walked over to his bed.

"Joey, wake up," I said, shaking him.

"5 more minutes," he said tiredly.

"No, right now," I said, slapping his bare shoulder.

"But it's too early," he said, keeping his eyes closed.

"Joseph wake up or else you're not getting any waffles," I said, taking the covers off him.

"Rae no, stop I'm cold," he said, reaching for his blanket.

"Get up, now," I said.

"Fine," he said sitting up.

"Waffles are downstairs, I'll see you there," I said and left his room.

"Hey hey hey hey, you can't wake me up and then leave," he said, running after me.

"Watch me," I said while walking down the stairs.

"Joseph, you actually got up," sophia said while eating her waffles.

"Shut up," He said and followed me into the kitchen.

"He is awake," I said to jen who turned around and handed us both plates with waffles.

"Nice job, maybe you should just stay here forever, he never wakes up," she said smiling, "where is Charles?"

"Right here," char said running down the stairs.
