1947
Remember the date
It had changed
Many people's fate!On that day only
A small Sikh boy lost his family
Political and religious hatred
Oh they had been bossing our country shamelessly! There was a spark in him
He was meant for something big
Innocent he was
Life was taking a dig!But he didn't blame his life
He didn't blame anyone
Accepted everything
And still wanted to be number 1!He ran, ran and ran hard
“India da Coat" was his dream
Was demotivated by many
But he had that zeal!Won the nationals
Got his “India da Coat"
Didn't stop there
He had his sight
Olympic was near!Won many medals
Won many hearts
1947 ?
Oh it was now a forgotten story
He had a focus to bring India glory! But as usual
Life is never a straight road
This a fact
Going back to his past was a threat! There was a friendly game
Organised by Pakistan
He was the leader
He was “BHARAT KI SHAAN"!The memories of losing the family unfolded
There were wounds
There were scars
He wanted to escape
Escape from the reality
He had a feeling that he was behind the bars!He understood one thing
That the biggest fight you have is with you
If you defeat it
Only then you can grow!So instead of running against anyone
He ran against his past
He ran against his memories
He defeated them and won the game
Milkha Singh the Flying Jatt is his name!
