Millions of stars passed through the large windows of the Millennium Falcon as the ship flew through dark, endless space. Luke Skywalker and Paige Solo sat at the chess board, facing one another. The boys eyes were focused on the pieces ahead of him as the girl watched his movements steadily.

Paige has never really been around other human males her age. None-the-less travel through space with one. She took in his features by every inch of his face. He had stunning blue eyes that where as beautiful as any gem she had ever seen. His lips where a pale pink, like the clouds during the pastel sunsets on Bespin. The skin on his body sun-kissed from all of the time he had spent farming on Tatooine. He was very attractive in her eyes. She never really realized his appearance since this moment.

Snapping out of her silly thoughts, she fixed her focus on something else. Her brother walked around the ship furiously looking for something. She excused herself from the awkward space and followed Han into the back room. Luke watched as she left the room quietly. Obi Wan spoke up, recommending that the boy should be practicing his skills with a lightsaber. The older man gave the boy his father's legendary lightsaber to practice with.

Once Paige came back into the room, Obi Wan asked her if she had any device that could be used to help the boy with his practice. She looked around until she found a small robotic machine she had picked up on a past mission. Of course she didn't mention she did steal it but it was nice to see it put to some use. The small robot flew around the open space, instantly beginning to shoot at Luke. He deflected the attacks pretty swiftly.

Obi Wan began to slump down against one of the booths beside him. Luke placed the lightsaber in his belt and Paige watched as he ran over to him, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"Are you alright?" Luke asked.

The old man shrugged, bring himself into a complete sit and cleared his throat, "I feel a great disturbance in the force. As if millions of voices just cried out in terror... and where suddenly silenced. Something terrible must of happened."

Paige stood up cautiously, standing still. Obi Wan pushed Luke away, telling him to go continue his exercises. Han walked into the hangar, sitting himself next to the disturbed old man, completely oblivious.

"Well, you can forget about those Imperial star ships. I knew I could outrun 'em!" He bragged.

The young Jedi began to swing his blue lightsaber around again, getting the attention of the several people surrounding him. Paige was leaned up against the wall beside Han, fiddling with a small mechanism, slightly watching a game that Chewbacca and Artoo played. The girl smiled at the droid getting a couple beeps in response. Chewbacca let out a cry as Artoo made a mischievous move on the playing board.

"Don't mess with a wookiee," Han said from his seat.

"I wouldn't upset a droid either," Threepio remarked.

"A droid can't pull your arms out of your sockets when they lose," Paige defended.

"Yeah, wookiee's do that," Han added.

Chewbacca crossed his arms over his head casually. The sound of the bullets hitting the hot lightsaber filled the passengers ears as the silence overtook them. Obi Wan guided his apprentice through his actions, giving him courage and strength. Luke seemed to be getting the hang of it but soon got blasted in his side. The trainee flinched and instinctively retracted his tool . Han laughed at the boy bluntly, making Luke frown slightly. Paige kicked her brothers shoe and shook her head in disapproval.

"You don't believe in the force do you?" Luke asked Han directly.

"Kid, I've flown one end of the galaxy to the other and I've seen a lot of strange stuff but I have never seen something to make me believe that there is some almighty force."

Han stood up and walked out of the room, Chewbacca behind him. They said they were going to go check out the mileage and how long until we arrive. Paige stayed back still leaned against the wall. The Jedi Master placed a helmet, Han's old one, on top of the trainees head.

"With the flap down I can't see!" Luke complained sheepishly.

"Use your instinct. Feel the force course through your body."

Luke started to spin around, following the robot by sound and deflected most of the attacks. Once he deflected a few in a row, he took the helmet off with a smile.

"Very good," His master said.

Paige clapped her hands and Luke's eyes found hers. She smiled at the boy and winked before walked towards him. She got pretty close before whispering to him, "To be fair...I believe in the force."

And with that, she pushed past him walking towards the hall.
