Don't Use Me ✨ F.W.

"So Phia, How was your first day at your new school?" My aunt asks as we sit down at the table in the living room of her penthouse apartment for dinner. Today we're having pizza and watching The Breakfast Club.

"Oh, it was SOOO GOOD! My English teacher is a literal ANGEL!" I tell her, enthusiastic as ever.

"That's good" She chuckles out at my enthusiasm.

"You see? You had nothing to be nervous about" she says.

Last year I was at a different school.

All my friends and I made the decision to transfer to a new school together.

*BZZZ*

"I'll see who it is" She tells me, getting up from the couch and walking to the intercom.

I get up to follow her while finishing my first slice.

"Hey, Jan" a familiar voice says through the machine.

"Hey dad" she says.

"Hey gramps!" I exclaim.

"I'm coming up" he says.

I just smile at my aunt.

My aunt Janice is like a cross between a really cool sister and a mom. She's eASILY one of my best friends. So is my granddad. We're a pretty close family. I also have my uncle Jason. Jan and him are twins. He doesn't live in Toronto with us. He's in New York. He comes by once in a while though.

I look over to the opening elevator door as my grandpa peeks his head through.

I run over and give him a hug as he walks through the opening of the elevator.

"Hi sweetie" he kisses my head.

"Hey dad" Jan hugs him.

"How are you two?" He asks us.  

"Oh I'm great. Jan and I went to a protest for women's rights on the weekend, and I had a blast like usual when we go and it hasn't been too long since we've seen you cause you came to my last play, remember?"

"How could i forget. Speaking of your play, I have good news" my grandpa says tells the both of us.

"Sophia, I think you're sUCH A GOOD ACTor and I kNOW you enjoy doing it, so I made a decision. I think that I should be your agent. You know, not to brag but I'm pretty well known that I think I could score you some rolls in more plays and movies and even shows" He tells me, crouching down a bit and putting a hand on my right shoulder.

"Cool, I think that's a great idea. But only if you wanna, Phia" Jan says sounding excited.

"I like that idea" I say.
