Author's Note

Check out my other story Hurry and Hide. It's slightly better than this story.

Thanks for all the reads on this story it means so much. Sorry I have not been updating regularly, but I'll try my best. Anyways, back to the story.

Joelle's Pov

"Excuse me?" A voice questioned.

Turning our heads we see Mr. Matthews staring down at us with an invisible eyebrow raised. How is he married? The woman must have a heart of pure gold.

"Am I such a favored topic for the four of you to discuss? If so, I'm flattered." He stated with a lemon toothed grin.

Oh my goodness. He is so full of himself, I thought.

"Pretty soon you'll be full of me too." He countered.

Oh shit. Did he just? No he didn't, yet it seems as though he did.

The group of friends sat there dumbfounded by his forwardness.

Joelle knew this type. "He knew what he wanted and he would stop at nothing to get it". Even if he came off as a creep or douche, once he laid eyes on Joelle he knew that one way or another that he was going to be deep inside of her and hopefully impregnating her.

Ugh. As if!

The three best friends looked to their friend to see what I would do to discontinue the altercation, however to their surprise I had not been paying any attention to Mr. Matthews at all.

"Oh my apologies, you were talking?" I asked.

With the look of annoyance glowing in his eyes, he started to repeat until the school's intercom interrupted.

" We are now on full lockdown. I repeat we are now on full lockdown. If anyone is outside please return to the building immediately and find a classroom. I repeat we are now on full lockdown. "

What is going on today?

"If you don't have a class you can join me in mine and we'll hide behind the desk. Plenty of room to get to know you better." Matthews suggested.

"We have a classroom. Sorry, not sorry. Bye." Sammi and Jayda shot back while dragging Sabrina and me away.

Why can't there be another girl that he likes? Can't he be satisfied with his wife?

"It's been forever that we've been on lockdown." Sabrina complained.

"No. Only like...three hours of pure, undisturbed silence minus the occasional crying, calls to parents demanding to be pickup after this ends and not knowing a darn thing." I answered.

"Well it's better than Mr. You're gonna be full of me soon Matthews. I heard he was suspected of sleeping with a student at his old school. It was once but he was writing her letters on how much he loved her and wanted her, yet he left before the investigation was finished. Sounds kinda fishy to me. Be careful with him." Jayda the "detective" warned.

"Alright. Don't like him, but alright." I replied.

Just as I finished my reply, a received a text from my mother.

"You know there are armed robbers who ran to hide at your school? It's all over the news of some bank robbers who got away with over two million dollars in cash. What I'm watching says it was an inside job. Other than that, you all okay?"

Finally someone gave information on what the heck is going on.

I texted her back saying we were fine for now and that I'll give updates whenever I could. The conversation ended with her usual "I'll be praying for you" and me saying bye, yet hopefully not for the last time.

The intercom came to life with good news filling the school.

"The threat is no longer and the suspects have been apprehended. School will be dismissed early for today as well as no after school activities you all stay safe and have a wonderful day."

"You don't have to tell me twice. Bye bitches" Sammi said while he dragged us out of the class.

"Let's go now so we don't have to run into anybody." Sabrina stated as if we were going over a game plan.

Not long after, us four idiots walked out with our keys in our pockets. The senior parking lot had already gone down in number and pretty soon would be vacant. Teachers, administration, staff, and other students all leaving for today.

Looks like you didn't have to tell them twice either.

We reached our row of cars. Each of us got in and bid one another goodbye. I could not wait to go to sleep with my panda onsie on and socks to match.

Looking on the dashboard, I noticed a letter under my windshield wipers. Rolling down the window I reached out to grab it and brought it in.

For my love Joelle was written in beautiful, red cursive.

Let's see what this is.
