Carter woke up to the sound of her name being called. Her eyes slowly opened and she was blinded by bright lights in a completely white room. She groaned as tried to sit up, her head pounding as her body ached in response. 'Where am I?' She thought to herself, slowly looking around the room, her eyes immediately giving her the answer. 'A hospital, obviously. I passed out at the house... But why?' Her thoughts just made her head hurt worse. "Ah, Ms. Vermillion, you're awake, I see. How are you feeling?" The doctor, Lucile, slithered her way over to Carter's bed, her red hair moving as she did. Her wide smile and fangs made the brunette uncomfortable, but she responded anyway. "I'm fine, but I feel sick still, and everything just... Hurts." Lucile makes a 'hm' sound and goes to pick up a clipboard on the desk parallel to her bed. "Can you please tell me what happened Ms. Vermillion? Just so I can get a better idea of what happened." Lucile says while not looking up. "Well," Carter looks down at her hands and thinks. What did happen? She wasn't really sure herself. She explains what she remembers, and Lucile leaves the room, leaving the girl alone, once again.

What happened to me...? And how did I even get here in the first place?
Then her thoughts wander to Octivo. He must've come back home and found her on the floor, then took her to the hospital.

But who was calling her name? It's a question she put off, as it most likely didn't mean anything important to her. She leaned back into her pillow and looked out the window. A large field of lavender and honeysuckle were seen outside the window, making her sigh in defeat.
"I..." She closed her eyes. "I don't think I'll ever get back... Not at this pace at least..." Then her mind wandered to Octivo. Would he help her? Or just keep her here? She had to admit, he was attractive, but what was another human doing down here? Something seemed off about him, but she just couldn't quite put her finger on it.

She heard a soft knock at the door and some quiet chatter outside.
"Come in."
The door was opened and revealed a messy, disheveled man.
A man she recognized as Octivo.
Out of the few days she'd known him she hadn't seen him like this. He had a multitude of papers in his hands, and a cell phone to his ear. Ending his call, he slowly approaches the white hospital bed. She could now get a better look at him. His hair was messy, and his clothes wrinkled. He looked tired like he hasn't slept for days.
"You've been out for almost a week now." Those words made her go silent.
He really hasn't slept for days.
"I'm glad you are okay." He smiles, but it quickly turns into a frown.
"Why did you bring me here?"
His eyes widened in shock, but also in confusion.
"W-what do you mean? I saw that you might have been injured so I too-" "No, Octivo. Why did you bring me to this... Place? You were the one that kidnapped... Me. Why? Why did you pick me? Why was I so important that you decided to pick me?!"
She was now leaning forward, progressively starting to yell. Some tears rolled down her face, as she continued ranting.
"Why am I down here?! I demand to know, it is my right as a human being to know what the fuck is going on in this god damn place!" Her every word was laced with venom, each word making the raven-haired male flinch.
"I..." He looked away and deeply inhaled
"Alright. Once you get discharged very soon, I will tell you." He approaches the door and starts to open it. "But don't think that you'll like any of what I have to say."
He sends her a bone-chilling glance.

"Because you won't."
