FOURTY (final chapter) / BBF

*same day, 1:39pm*

I sit opposite Grayson on a blanket on the grass in the middle of the park.
We've been here for about 30 minutes just sitting and eating the toasts and sandwiches that we brought.

I look around, seeing mamy things that lighten up my mood.
Happy families, fathers and mothers playing with their kids.
Little kids playing soccer, tennis and basketball on the little fields in the back of the park.
Old couples walking around or reading the paper on the small benches on the sides of the paths.

"It's such an amazing day today." I smile and look at Grayson how looks at me aswell.

"It is." He agrees and smiles before scooting closer to me, sitting almost next to me but still facing me.
"Are you enjoying it?" He questions.

"I am. The park calms the down and seeing all those happy families playing with their kids makes me happy." I smile.
"I want that too some day." I sigh.

Grayson places his hand on my left knee wich makes me look up at him immediately.

"Would you want something like that with me some day?" He asks, taking me by surprise.

"Well, yes actually." I blush.
Grayson smiles and places his right hand on my cheek, hooking his fingertops behind my jaw and pulling me closer. His lips touch mine and they move in sync once, very slow and we both smile before pulling away.

"I would love that too." He smiles.
I lean my head a little forward and place my chin on Grayson's right shoulder. I envelope my arms around him and hug him loosely.
Grayson's arms wrap around my small body and he hugs me back a little tighter.

I pull away and give him a quick peck on the lips before smiling widely.
He grabs my hand and pulls me up with him.

"Sofia, I wanna ask you something." He smiles.

"Ofcourse, what's it?" I ask.

"Sofia Liv Paul, I love you with all my heart and I never wanna lose you ever again. I did once, but we still found our ways back to eachother and I'm glad we did. I can't see myself living without you so, Sofia, will you be my girlfriend, again?" Grayson asks smiling widely.

"Ofcourse Grayson. I would love to." I smile and grab his shoulders, pulling him down to me. I smash my lips onto his and kiss him pasionately. Our lips move in sync and our tongues dance around eachother.
On the background of our romantic kiss I hear some people 'awe'ing, wich makes me smile into our make out.

I slowly pull away and look deep into Grayson's eyes. His grib on my waist only tightens and I slowly smile as he does so too.

"I love you Grayson." I say, truly meaning it.

"I love you too Sofia." He says back. His eyes shine through the sunlight and his smile widens, making his teeth visible.

I bend down and slowly put the boanket back into the little basket we brought.
I pick it up and bring it back to Grayson's car.
He takes me hand and pulls me back into the park but this time we walk further.

We eventually reach a spot on the edge of the park.
There's a bench and we sit down, having a perfect overlook on the deep down going hill in front of us and bussy roads with thousends of cars, houses, other buildings and on top of that an amazing overlook on the beach behind it and the amazing deep blue sky.

"It's so beautiful and peaseful here." I confess.

"Yeah." Grayson mumbles.
His hand slowly grabs mine and we intertwine fingers, still looking at the amazing view in front of us.

"You know?," Grayson starts.

"Hmm?"

"Honestly I never thought I would be more than just your brother's best friend."
