Sex, Drugs and Rock 'n' Roll ~ Epilogue
Two years later...
I was finally happy. Things weren't perfect, but this was probably as good as it was going to get. I had my own flat (albeit it was on a council estate in Dagenham, but you can't win every battle, can you). I had a beautiful daughter and a wonderful fiancé who was also my best friend. I had a job as a horse riding teacher at a nearby stable, and whilst the pay wasn't the best, I was doing something I loved. Zaranie had just started nursery and Nicky had found a job working as a builder around London.
I didn't hear from my dad very often. The last time I saw him was at my nan's funeral last year. She'd had a stroke and the ambulance hadn't made it in time to save her. I'd heard that he and Helen had split up a couple of months ago. Maybe she'd finally seen sense.
Jami had started at Cambridge University a couple of months ago. She was studying to be a lawyer. We didn't talk much, but when we did it was like nothing had ever changed. That's the beauty of having a best friend, in my opinion.
Gavin was working as a security guard in Colchester Zoo, which me and Nick had found hilarious seeing as Gaz has always hated animals. Turns out there's a 'fit blonde bird' who works there, as Gavin put it. I hope she knows what she's getting herself into.
Shane and Joe sat their exams and both of them got nothing below a grade C. I know Ashton would be just as proud of his little brother as I am of mine. Chloe is taking an animal management course in Chelmsford and Abby just started preschool. Jessie moved out to Australia with her new husband and is now pregnant with their first baby, who we found out is going to be a boy. Rihanna works as a stylist in New York and is dating an American guy with a fancy apartment. The fact that my two sisters moved away makes me feel less bad about leaving two years ago. I miss all my friends like hell, especially Jami, but it's much easier with Nick here to support me.
I still visit Ashton's grave sometimes, when I can, sometimes to bring him flowers, sometimes just to talk to him. Not a day goes by that I don't miss him and wish he was still here. It saddens me that he's missing out on his daughter's life. Her first word was 'dada'. I made sure to tell him that...
Well guys its finally over!! Thank you to all my friends and family who have supported me and kept me going even when I wanted to give up and start over. Don't forget to comment, vote and follow!! Love you all!<3
