"Emily..." I heard a faint voice say from beside me. "Emily wake up..." the voice repeated. "Emily wake up!" The voice screamed in my face. "Why..." I groan as I bury my face into a pillow while the curtains were opened. "Because it's our birthday, silly!" My twin sister giggled as she jumped onto me. Me and my twin sister Emma are now 8 years old. We both look exactly alike. However we have different personalities. My sister is the BabyLola type, I'm the dark and mischievous type. Because of our personalities, we play the twin role very well.
I threw my pillow off my face and sat straight up. I look at Emma with my wide green mint eyes. "Are you serious?" I ask quickly. Emma only answers with a smile and a nod. I jump out of my bed and rush to the closet, I rummage through it, trying to find the perfect outfit. I took out a bright blue sky dress that has a ribbon on the chest which is as white as snow and a pumpkin orange ribbon around the waist. Emma went over to the closet after me and got a dress that looks the exact same. We both changed into our dresses. We both brushed each other's blond silky hair.
Once we were finished we rushed downstairs to find our mother and father waiting for us patiently. "Are you two ready to go?" Mom asks with a grin. We both nod and run out to the car. Mom and dad come out of the house and walk over to the car. Dad sat in the drivers seat as for usual, mom sat in the passengers seat. Me and Emma sit in the backseats and we all buckle up our seat belts.
