Journey

Chapter 1

A/N Id like to say a quick thank you to everyone that reads this book and embarks on this journey with me. I truly hope you all enjoy this story as much as I do. I will attempt to make updates as much as I can and do my best at making as little mistakes as possible. If you see a mistake don't hesitate to say something because a lot of this will come from my phone. Every chapter will range from 500-1000 words and Ill try to update at least once a week. Thank you again for reading and I really hope you enjoy. :)

It is five am and the house is silent because no one is awake just yet. It is January 4th, 2037 and Journey is curled up asleep in her bed on this chilly winter morning.
Journey is one of three kids. She has two older brothers making her the youngest of the family.
The eldest brother is Drake. He has already graduated high school and is on his fifth year of college, but no one has seen him since he graduated highschool his sophomore year, so there isn't much you could know about him besides the fact that he was a brilliant kid who had better thinggs than family.
Next is the second oldest, David. David is eighteen and a senior. He is supposed to be graduating in the spring, but if he can't get his act together everyone believes he will be repeating his senior year. Not even half way through the year and he has found himself in trouble countless times for things like skipping class, fighting on school property, defiance, and etc. The usual that his "squad" does. David use to be a great kid, but all of that changed when he turned ten.
Last but not least is Journey. She is the youngest of the three and is nineteen. Besides being the youngest she is also highly intelligent like her brother Drake. Journey has never made anything below an "A" since she was seven. She is that goodie two shoes kid everyone has in their class and she is usually the only one that ever does every assignment. The only reason she does all of her work is because it gives her something to do. Without school work and studying she'd be alone. Her mother works at a store from 5am to11pm; six days a week, so she never sees her mother anymore and her brother is always with his idiotic friends. Which leaves Journey alone with nothing to do, but clean and study.
It has been that way for Journey since she was five. Ever since her father had died in a fire, her family fell apart. Her mom had to take on extra hours to support the family. David had started getting in countless arguments with the mother and kind of took to the wrong road and then for Drake well he never really gave a flying fuck for the family. The only one who really stayed the same was Journey. Which is okay with her. She never really got to know her father like her two brothers and mother did.

" Journey get up! I've got to go and you have to get ready now! It's only half an hour till eight!" Yelled David from outside of Journeys bedroom door. "Journey I am fucking serious! GET THE HELL UP!" David screamed. The girl groaned as her brother yelled at her to get up.

"Fine I'm up. Just calm down." Journey replied aggravated. As soon as she got up, David left. It wasn't much trouble for her to get ready, so she never understood why her brother was so pushy about her getting up. She just assumed he wasn't a morning person and it made it worse since he wasn't a school person either. All Journey had to do was put on her school uniform and brush her hair and teeth and all the normal school morning routines so it took her usually fifteen minutes at tops. Also she didn't have to pick her outfit because she had a school uniform and for a school uniform hers isn't that bad. A blue and white plaid skirt that is just two inches above the knees and a white polo shirt with the school's mascot (a tiger) on it in blue on the handkerchief pocket. As soon as Journey finished getting ready she headed downstairs to grab an apple and sat at the table where she met her highly aggravated brother David.

"Good Morning David!" Journey said cheerfully.

"What do you want Journey?"

"Gee ya don't have to be so grumpy all the time ya know? I was just going to ask for a ride to school, so what do you say? Think you can give your little sister a lift?" She asked. David rolled his eyes and groaned. He hated giving her a ride for some reason. He always acted like she was asking him for the most expensive thing in the world, but they were going to the same place so she didn't see what the problem was.

"Yeah. Sure. Whatever. Just get in the car."

"Yay! Thanks David!" She cheered as she got up to go grab her bag from her room.

As soon as she grabbed it, she ran outside to hop into David's car before he left her behind.

"Alright. I'm ready!" She said. David just huffed ignoring her cheery mood and drove off to the school.
