Why It's A Gem: Again, I am hesitant to classify this story as Teen fiction, but I figured out my key a while ago, and I will stick to it. This story had me so messed up (you know what I want to say here)! The twists and turns truly threw me for a loop, and I pride myself on always "seeing something coming" miles before it does. That was not the case with story. The writing is amazing, as is with every novel on thus list, but the creativity in Thorn is unparalleled.
