Why It's a Gem: As someone who loves everything to do with Olympus, I can also appreciate the nuances and variations Forsaken Deity offers. Do not be alarmed, however, because you do not have to be well versed in the tales of the gods to thoroughly enjoy this novel. I can assure you that you will not be drowning in the mythology as is often the case with stories that attempt to take on the Olympians. Rather than feeling like you are in English class learning about tales of the ancient Greeks, Forsaken Deity is a modern, upbeat, and exciting story that will have you leaving offerings to the author in the form of votes and exuberant comments.
