A/N PoV

It is the year 2022, crime rates worldwide have increased by 15% from the last 5 years. Policemen have also increased due to the rise of crime.

Because of that, well trained officers are at the of the economy and more spots for policemen have rised and salaries are higher than average businessmen's monthly salaries.

Of course, everyone can be a police officer but not everyone can fit the job.

Each country now has a group of elite academies training young men and women to become well - trained officers but these elite schools are not to be played with.

The admission fees are through the roof so not anyone can enroll so the wealthy train their kids physicaly and mentally to attend these elite schools.

Of course, normal people can enroll too. Each year, these academies hold an scholarship test with only a whooping 0.5% chance to get it.

In these scholarship tests, they not only train your knowledge but also your strength, stamina, mentality, and skills to be a potential spy too.

Everyone wishes to be a policemen nowadays. Whether its for the fame, the authority, the wealth, anything. But for Na Ji Yun, its different. Unlike others, she is just focused on one goal, to find her father's killer.

Jiyun's PoV

"Oh god, i'm too scared to open this"

In my hands is the result letter to my admission test last spring. I had hoped to be accepted into SPA, my father's alma mater.

If you haven't realised, my family's economic status is not that great and I need a scholarship to enroll into SPA. My father was a scholarship holder too and he graduated as the top of the class.

"Gwaenchana Yunnie - ah, even if you don't get the scholarship, i'll try to find a way to fund your tuition or you can just enroll in a normal unive-"

"EOMMA! I told you before right? If i don't receive the scholarship, i'll find a way myself. This is my choice, you don't need to sacrifice anything for my selfish request."

"Arasseo. NOW JUST OPEN THE GODDAMN LETTER YUNNIE. How can you become a police officer if you're afraid to even open a letter?!?"

"Yeah yeah..."

I slowly opened the envelope and took out the letter inside it. The first thing i noticed was the very well written handwriting.

Greetings, Na Ji Yun I am sure you are well - informed of what this letter is about. Don't worry, because you are actually qualified as one of Seoul Police Academy's scholarship holder! On behalf of the commitee of Seoul Police Academy, we congratulate you for being accepted here.

Starting from the 25th of June, students from the scholarship course can move into the dorms. Of course, all the tuition money and additional charges will all be taken care of by us.

We would also like to invite you to attend our opening ceremony at Seoul Police Academy's Campus A next month on the 5th of July. After the ceremony, we will also explain any other details of the scholarship so save your questions until then!

If you have any problems regarding to this event, please contact our staff immediately.

Sincerely,

Hung Yong Chol

I froze for a second. I-I did it...I actually did it. I got the scholarship! Oh my God...thank you God, I won't let you down!

"EOMMA! I GOT THE SCHOLARSHIP! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

We both hugged and jumped around screaming happily. Tears rolled down my cheeks. I did it. I am now on the track to finish my goal. I promise I will find the culprit appa.

Apparently, Minjae got accepted too! THANK GOD WE'RE IN THIS TOGETHER. With Minjae with me, i'll be sure to have some company!

Oh, by the way, Minjae is my cousin and my closest friend. My mom and his dad are siblings and his dad was also dad's coworker. His dad was a close friend of dad when they were still officers.

His dad was the only one who survived that mission and he helped me and mom in alot of ways especially when dad passed away.

Minjae has helped me through alot of stuff and he also took the scholarship test with me to support me. Now, I know I won't be alone in this and that we'll be in this together!

I had to move to the campus dorms a week after I got the letter. I said goodbye to my mom and uncle and Minjae and I set off to the campus.

"Minjaeeeeee. Ppalli ppalli, we'll be late for the train slowpoke."

"Yah! If you don't want me to be slow, THEN CARRY YOUR OWN LUGGAGE YOURSELF YUN"

"AAAAAAAHHHHH CMON CMON I'LL TAKE MY STUFF. WE'RE GONNA MISS THE TRAIN MINJAE - AH"

Phew. We managed to hop on our train with the doors closed behind our back.

We both were really out of breath because the taxi arrived 30 minutes late and we were almost going to miss our sweet sweet ride.

"Next time,*pant* let my dad *pant* drive us*pant* ok?" Minjae said, breathing heavily.

"....Agreed" I said, feeling guilty.

We placed our luggage then we tried to find our seat. We found our seats 1 minute later and we both plopped our butts nice and comfy and I fell asleep almost instantly

Minjae's PoV

"Wait. Why is my shoulder heavy? Yun - ah. What did you-"

I looked to my right and she was leaning against my shoulder, sound asleep.

"Pabo. I want to sleep too you know" I whispered

I closed my eyes and fell asleep

Thank god I got accepted. I trained really hard and studied alot and all of that paid off. I was too worried for Yun. Good thing she was accepted too. Don't worry Yunnie. I'll protect you. Uncle, i'll keep your promise.
