On Guard

Chapter 8

After almost half an hour sitting in the bus and doing nothing than looking out the window, we finally arrived at Myeong-dong. Jiwon and Jihye fell asleep and Minjae was playing some kind of game on his phone. 

I nudged Minjae to get him to go wake up the twins. They both woke up and we quickly got off the bus. Jiwon was still half awake but Minjae shook his body so that he would come to his senses.

"Y-y-y-a-a-h-h. S-s-t-t-o-o-o-p-p  i-i-i-t-t." Jiwon said while Minjae was shaking him.

Minjae gave a smirk and let go of Jiwon but letting him fall face forward on the ground. Ouch.

"And that is why you don't want to fall asleep on the bus kids." Minjae said, trying to act smart and sarcastically.

"Jerk." Jiwon said, annoyed.

Minjae ignored him and continued asking us.

"Supermarket?" He asked.

"Let's go." I said.

Minjae walked in front but I stopped and looked back at the twins

"Need some help?" Jihye said as she gave her hand out for Jiwon.

"Thanks-"

"You wish" Jihye pulled her hand back as she gave out an evil smirk.

"Knew it." Jiwon sulked.

"Here, let me help you. I'm not as mean as that." I said running back to Jiwon, feeling sorry.

"Thanks Jiyun-ah." He said as he grabbed my hand and stood up.

"Kaja." 

We walked around and looked at the shops on the streets. There were so many beauty product shops and Jihye wanted to go into almost every shop. Luckily Jiwon held her back by giving her a tall vanilla ice cream.

We stopped and some random supermarket and looked for some ingredients.

"You got the things?" I asked.

"I got some eggs, bacon, meat, some salmon, and some sauces." Minjae said.

"You didn't get any bread?"

"The canteen's are better than here. Plus, it's free of charge."

"Then why did you want to go shopping?" I asked, confused.

"To take you out of course!" He said as he gave me a wink.

"Hahaha good one. But seriously, why?" I insisted.

He leaned towards my ear and whispered, "I also want to grab some comics and games."

We both smiled at each other and gave a high five.

Jihye bought some kind of healthy drink and Jiwon bought a ton of snacks.

"I thought the canteen also gave snacks?" Minjae asked.

"Yeah but my dad told them specifically not to give us any." He said.

"Must be quite a harsh life you got there bro." Minjae said as he patted his back.

"Yep. Sad."

 "Jihye, are there any good winter clothe stores around here?" I asked.

"Hmm, I don't know anything about the stores here but I know a place." She said.

"Ok, i'll follow your lead."

We hopped down to the underground train station and we took it to somewhere. Seemed like Jihye knew where she was going. All the buildings look super modern and nice and there were some stores that looked pretty expensive.
