On Guard

Chapter 2

Jiyun's PoV

We reached the station a few hours after and we stopped by the nearest K - Donalds to get lunch. Boy we were both starving. As soon as we got our food, Minjae started eating like crazy

"Yah, don't eat like that. Otherwise, no one would want to be your girlfriend." I smirked.

"Ohohoho well look who's talking. I bet no one would want a walking burnt stick like you." Jae smirked back.

"Well people would prefer a stick over a pig, FATTY." I said, defending my poor, stick self.

"Aish...you win...this time..." Jae said , painfully.

"Ouch. That was painful to watch." I said, with a laugh.

"I know right? I should consider becoming an actor someday." Jae said, proudly.

We then broke into a laugh then quickly finished our food. We were both too anxious to see our new dorms ourselves.

We had to take another 30 minute bus ride from the station to the campus. The campus is at the edge of the city and because it's so huge, it had to be built there.

We finally arrived and to be honest, IT WAS FRIKIN HUGE WHAT THE HECK. It was way better than I expected. If you're wondering why the both of us are this shocked, it's because we've never seen the place irl or in a photo before.

Our home city is in Busan and we took the scholarship test in one of the branch offices in Busan. Each city has its own Branch office. These offices are there specificly for scholarship students so no one gets left out.

Anyway, back to topic. There was no huge gate like I expected. Instead, it was open wide and we could see the building from the outside.

Unlike what I thought, it looked really modern and cool. I thought there would be a huge palace or something like in the comics. Oh well, guess i'll stop my fantasies there.

There was no huge fountain. Instead, there was alot of greenery and less concrete. It actually looked really confortable being here. It really doesnt give a "rich vibe" to the atmosphere.

We were too focused on looking at a place when a voice called out for us.

"Excuse me, young ones. Are you two perhaps the new scholarship holders?" A very butler-y voice said.

"U-uh, yes mister. We both just arrived here." I stuttered.

"Oh! Splendid! I bet you're Miss Na Jiyun. Am I wrong?"

"Oh yes that's me! Na Jiyun." I said, shocked. I didn't even expect someone to recognize me.

"It's an honor meeting you in person, Miss Na. I've heard many good things about you, especially you're father, Na Yoon go. It's a shame he died really young." The man said, sadly.

"Wait, you know my father?"

"Well of course! I know everybody here! Isn't it expected for the principle to know his students?" He asked.

"Oh yeah that should make sens- WAIT WHAT?!?" I screamed.

"Ohohoho it's rare to see someone who doesn't recognize me! You really resemble him so much, don't you?"

"Pabo pfftt" Minjae said quietly.

"And who is this charming man right here?" The principle asked.

"Better recognized than not right? Pfftt" I whispered, trying to hold my breath.

"I'm Song Minjae, sir" Minjae said, annoyed.

"Ohohohoho I know you too. You passed the scholarship test with top scores from your group. I guess you are also related to Miss Na here?"

"Yes sir. She is my close cousin."

"Oh no need to be too formal my boy. Just Mr. Hung  will be fine. But really, you two have grown so much. Come in, I will show you to the dorms."

We then walked through the calming parks and through some trees to reach the dorms. It wasn't too far from the exit so thats great.

Mr. Hung's PoV

I see they've grown well Yoongo - ssi. Let us see how they can cope with it, shall we.

"Okay, we've arrived at the dorms."

Jiyun's PoV

"There will be a receptionist when you walk in. You can go ask the person there for your assigned room number and keys. Other info you can find out by asking the info lady at the corner. I hope to see you guys soon!"

"Thank you so much for showing us the way to the dor-" I stopped. The principle was no where to be seen. I guess he must've went on ahead to finish his duties.

"Now, shall we? Yun - ah."

"Lets go, "

We walked in with our luggage, but something was off, the lights were flickering and there was no one to be seen.

"Hello?" I said. The sound echoed around the room as there was no one to be seen.

"Is this some kind of welcome surprise, yun - ah?" Minjae asked, worried.

"I....I don't think so, Jae - ah. Let's go ask some outside for questions." We turned around to the door to go outside but it was locked. Very weird.

"Y-Yun - ah... It's locked... what should we do?" Minjae stuttered.

"Hmm... For starters, lets calm ourselves down and look for clues to what happened. We should go upstairs and find someone to help us. Let's leave our luggage here first. That way we can move around easier."

"Yeah, lets go."

??? PoV

"All the preparations are in place sir. The rookies are in place too sir."

"Alright. Lets see what they can do, Kyu - ssi."
