I wrote this at 12 AM so the quality is kinda iffy. Once again, vote goal is 5 and then ill upload the next part. I'm sorry this chapter is so short, but I'm going to be extremely busy this year and this is just the start ;;

"...Well this is awkward." The guy who called himself Namjoon sighs and runs a hand through his hair.

"Of course she'd remember," grumbled Blue, throwing his hands up. "Unbelievable."

"Well, would you rather she have forgotten about us instead?" Snapped the black haired man.

"..." You looked away from Namjoon in time to see Blue staring at you. Said man turned his gaze away abruptly, focusing on the floor instead.

"I'm sure you yourself know the answer to that, Jeon Jungkook."

You shook your head in disbelief, the grief of the past slowly turning into anger. Even after their obvious lie had been exposed, these men were still acting as though they were truly who they said they were. Your voice shook with rage as you spat out your next words.

"You all should be ashamed of yourselves." Silence fell upon the men. "Pretending to know me, masquerading as my friends, soiling the memory of those seven men who you dare try to be?"

"Disgusting." Your words dripped with venom.

"I can see who each and every one of you are pretending to be, and I can tell you all this much-"

"You're all failing." Your eyes met with each and every one of the men in the room. "You'll never be able to fully recapture the kindness of Kim Seok-jin, the wit of Min Yoongi, the reliability of Jeon Jungkook, the cleverness of Kim Namjoon, the humor of Jung Hoseok, the quirkiness of Kim Taehyung, or the pure happiness of Park Jimin."

"But most of all, you'll never be able to capture the unyielding, overwhelming talent they all had. Why? Because you're not them."

Tears well up in your eyes. "They are dead." You pause for a breath to muster as much steel into your voice as you can, knowing that in a few seconds otherwise you'd become a hiccuping, pathetic mess- and then nothing you said would be taken seriously.

"So despite whatever sick, fucked up reason you have to pretend to be them, I suggest you drop it now."

There's a pause. And then Namjoon begins to chuckle. Then full-time laugh. And then, slowly but surely, so do the other men in the room.

You couldn't believe it. You were just about fed up with the men in the room. On a high of grief, anger, and frustration, you raise a hand to slap Namjoon.

"Hey hey, wait!" The man's hand intercepts yours as it comes crashing down towards his face, his grip tight around your wrist. "Don't get me wrong here- I wasn't laughing because you were crying." He hesitates, trying to find the right words. "I was laughing because I couldn't believe you described us so...nicely."

He hurries his words upon seeing your suspicious expression, knowing he didn't have a lot of time to explain himself.

"I mean, I remember back in high school you'd always tell Tae he was such a derp and that I was the clumsiest guy alive. Despite how close we were, it took a lot for you to compliment us." He smiles, his eyes distant. "To hear you say all this about us now..."

"Well, it's comforting to know you loved us as much as we loved you."

You stared at him, feeling your heart wrenching in the cavity that was your chest. The words that were uttered were oh-so-sweet and exactly what you'd expect to hear from your dear friend Namjoon- if, your sliver of doubt whispered, this were him. So while your heart tore itself apart in newfound grief and your instinct told you that yes, this was Namjoon, all you could bring yourself to say was-

"I can't believe you'd wear my best friend's face and lie to me like this."

Silence. And then a soft voice speaks up, low and pained.

"I thought I was your best friend, (y/n)."

You turned around, almost bumping into the chest of another man. He leaned down to meet your stare, his tawny colored hair longer and lighter than you remembered it but still unmistakably his.

"You said I was, the day you broke your collarbone at Mt. Sai."

Taehyung pouted at you, his delicate expression one of hurt and betrayal.
