Mark's POV

Sighing, I made my way to the row of seats in the classroom and sat at the first seat. The room was filled with people whom I didn't know and a few empty seats. I sat down silently and tried to avoid eye contact with everybody else.

"Must be great to be the new kid. Wow, he's gonna love it here." I looked up to the teacher as I heard her thoughts.

I continued to stay silent and pulled my phone out while  three girls passed by my desk talking to one another happily. One of them seemed to "accidentally" bump into my desk, only to mumble a small unheard saying, which had been a rude "Sorry hun." with an attempted wink.

The girls moved on and walked over to their desk. I stuffed my phone back into my bag and turned around to look at her face closely. I tried to pretend to look at the posters behind me but I still could take my eyes off of her. She had ugly blonde hair and her face made me shiver.

"Wow, he's hot."  I heard her thoughts speak out to me as she stared at me. I quickly turned back around when she smiled at me with a friendly wave.

I huffed another sigh and tapped my pencil on the desk, and constantly checking my watch. A group of two girls came into the room and I looked up.

The first one, was just like any average teenager with bright golden eyes and a white toothy smile. Staring at her, I almost immediately labeled her as 'Welcoming Committee" . The next girl that came in was utterly breathtaking and I'm not even lying.

Her deep brown eyes batted with amazingly long eyelashes and her hair bounced flawlessly on her shoulders. She smiled brightly at her friend, making an eyesmile like no other. She walked into the room further, revealing her long tanned legs with converse sneakers that seemed to fit perfectly on her feet.

After staring at her for such a long time, I decided to direct my attention elsewhere, just so she wouldn't act sucpicious and wonder about me. I desperately tried to not look like a creep so I laid my head down, imagining her once again in my thoughts and smiling like an idiot to myself.

Well now I really sound like a creep.

Just then, the first bell rang and I rose to see the classroom full of people once again. I looked to the teacher, who was writing her name on the board with the date.

"Please pay attention while I call roll." she said and we all nodded. I quickly checked the board to read her name and my insides churned.

The board read Ms. Kirklin on it and I repeated it to myself while she was getting the roll call paper.

"Evelyn Boast?" she called out. Once the name was called, a blonde girl from earlier raised her hand high and waved to the teacher, telling her she was present.

One by one, she called the names but there was one that caught me by surprise.

"Rebel Smith?" she called. I looked around, finding people that had not been called yet, and found myself looking into the eyes of a goddess.

She smiled and called out, "Not here!" The teacher looked up from her paper and this Rebel laughed, calling out another response. "Kidding~" she cooed and let the teacher continue.

I managed to make a  small chuckle and Ms. Kirklin also laughed.

Rebel smiled devilishly and it beyond beautiful. Ms. Kirklin cleared her throat and replied to Rebel.

"Ah, Rebel, your name suits you. Very ironic, as you tend to this very often, but your name should also be Troublemaker as your past teachers have named you." Rebel gave a light shrug.

"Whatever you say, Ms. Kirklin!" she said light hearted.

"Rebel.." I thought to myself, unable to think of anything else.
