We walk in, and I look around. Multicolored lights hang around the room, and swoop down from the ceiling. There is a table of punch and snacks in the center. On the stage, some African American, blonde girl and a guy with porcelain skin and a pink Mohawk.

"This is something" Jake shouts, since the music is so loud.

"Yeah, this is actually the first time I have been to Homecoming" I admit, blushing a bit.

"Really? Why?" Jake asks, squeezing my hand as we walk over to the dance floor.

"I never had a date, neither did Jen, so we would just sit at home and watch reruns of Gossip Girl" I answer.

Jake just chuckles, and then we go slow dance. After about 30 minutes, we finally spot Jen, and her new boyfriend, Isaac, who had thick, circle glasses, dreamy brown eyes, but not as dreamy as Jake's, he wore a baby blue tuxedo, and his hair was pushed back in a Justin Bieber kind of way, just like Cameron's.

"Hey guys!" Jen says, laughing, and moving back and forth, like she had a little bit to drink, and by a little bit, I mean a lot.

"Jen, stop drinking" I reply, way too loud.

"SHH!" Jen yells, and then giggles, acting all happy drunk.

"Jen, why did you do this to yourself?" I ask, pulling her away from Jake and Isaac, then pointing my pointer finger at them, showing to give her and I a minute.

"I was nervous" Jen yanks her arm away from me, and looks down at the ground.

"Look at me! Stop acting like this!" I yell at her. Okay, maybe I should have been more calm but ever since the party she seems to be drinking more, which is not Jen's kind of thing.

"Fine! My m-mom and dad are getting divorced! My d-dad is moving out and now I feel all l-lonely, okay? I had n-no one to talk to, all those g-gir-girls at the party got grounded from the drinking, m-my parents didn't care because I knew about the d-divorce then, and they thought that's h-how I would handle it" Jen slurs some of her words, and the other ones are stuttered.

"I'm so sorry, my parents are divorced too, it is just my dad at home now. Why are your parents getting divorced?" I ask.

"They grew out of love, it's like they are best friends, not like husband and wife, they didn't even kiss each other before going to work anymore. So, what about your parents? Do you know? Did they tell you?" Jen answers, and then, asks.

"They started to fight, my dad was so sick and tired of everything my mom began to say, which included bad things about Lana and I, so, my dad kicked her out, and they are in the process of getting a divorce, and my dad also told me that he might try to get full custody, he doesn't want my mom around Lana and I" I explain, my eyes begin to water up, and then I wipe them, before we walk back over to our smoking dates, Jen hugs me, and even begins to sob a little bit.

"Ready to dance again?" Jake asks.

"Of course, let's go" I answer. Jake grabs my hand, and we go back to dancing.

After another thirty minutes or so, it's time to announce the Homecoming Queen and King.

"HELLO! So after voting, we finally have our king and queen winners!" Principal Dawson.

We all stand quietly, anxiously, hearing a few mumbles around us.

He begins to say

"The Homecoming King is....."

Then it all goes black, the lights are shut off, and people begin to shriek, scream, and go crazy. After about ten minutes, Principal Dawson goes back on the stage and says

"the power is gone, completely, everyone please go home, thank you, and the winners will be annonuced on Monday, good night."

So, we all leave.

And that, my friends, was how my first Homecoming went, and let me say
