Saturday
After Jake's "wonderful" party of babysitting the drunkies and making sure no one died, it was time to have a nice, formal dinner with Jake, my dad, Lana, Cameron, and the twins.
"You know, I forgot how good you girls are at cooking" my dad says, smiling at us as we prepare some bread crumb dusted, baked chicken.
"Thanks" I reply, taking out the curly, sweet potato fries.
"Sis, can you grab the flour for me?" Lana asks, as she mixes something up.
"Sure" I answer, and then hand her the flour.
"Ooh, what's that?" My dad says, peeping over Lana's shoulder.
"I'm making cherry pie" Lana proudly replies.
"Smells amazing just like how your m-" my dad begins to talk, but stops.
I'm about to reply, when I hear a knock at the door.
It's either Cameron with Charlie and Diana, or Jake.
I hope it's Jake.
I walk over, and open it slowly.
Lucky me, it's Jake. He has on some nice, black khakis, with a white and blue striped shirt.
"I come bearing gifts" Jake jokes. As if it was yesterday, I still remember the first time he came to my house, and said that, holding root beer.
"Thank you, please, come in" I reply, flashing him a smile, and accepting the beautiful boquet of flowers he brought.
"Hello, Jacob" my dad says, walking over, and sticking his hand out.
"It's just Jake, and hi, great to actually meet you" Jake responds.
I'm about to walk over to close the door when Cameron and the twins come in. Cameron wears the same thing as Jake. Diana is wearing a soft looking, sparkly red dress. Charlie has on some white khakis and a blue shirt.
"Hi little guys!" I say to the twins, smiling at them. I take Diana from Cameron and set her in the baby play crib we set up for them. Then, Cameron puts Charlie in.
"Hey, great to see you again" Cameron casually greets.
"You too" my dad replies, grinning at Cameron.
"The food is almost ready! Please sit down! Oh, and hi baby" Lana says, walking over to Cameron and kissing his cheek.
"Hey" Cameron replies, and then we all walk over and sit down.
The dinner wasn't much to brag about, well, the conversation at the dinner, but, the food, as always, was absolutely awesome.
After dinner, my dad was tired and went to bed. So, Cameron, Lana, Jake, and I all wanted to watch a movie.
"THE PURGE!" Cameron yells.
"No, honey our kids are here and they can't watch it any way" Lana argues.
"Please" Cameron begs, giving her puppy eyes.
"No" Lana snaps.
"But the kids are asleep and Jake and I have already seen it" Cameron replies, looking at Jake for back up. He nods.
"Why don't we watch Clueless?" I suggest.
"Ew, chick flicks" Jake makes a face at me.
"Please" I beg, giving his puppy eyes like Cameron.
"You're like my brother" he rolls his eyes at me, and I kiss his nose then say again
"please?"
"Fine" he replies.
"WHAT?? NOT FAIR" Cameron yells.
"Are you trying to wake up the kids?" Lana asks.
"Sorry baby" he replies.
We pop in the movie. Then, Lana and Cameron cuddle on the couch. Jake and I do too. I remember the one time Jake swung his arm over around my shoulder. Then made me nervous, and confronted me about it. Of course I denied it, but I still am nervous around him, but I trust him a lot more now.
When the movie ends, Cameron, Lana, and Jake decide to all go home. I kiss Jake and Lana goodbye, and give Cameron a hug. Lana grabs her twins, who were fast asleep, but now are crying loudly. Jake opens the door for them.
A man, with a dirt brown bushy beard and dirt brown, long hair stands there.
"Hi sons" the man says.
"Oh my god, dad?" Jake replies, looking stunned.
It's all fun and games, till someone's missing dad shows up.
