i tried to stay, didn't i? but you're always so naive to never understand what i have done for you.

the summer breeze sweeps up small amounts of dust, carrying it to places that they can't even imagine! an adventure short lived but promising.
"hey, wait up!" she runs after his speedy form, eyes locked at the back of his head. "you walk too fast!" she giggles cutely, touching his should ever so slightly to not cause a disturbance.
"don't touch me." those simple three words catch the petite girl off guard, flinching slightly backwards. she then starts walking next to him, "what's wrong?"
"nothing, i'm just tired." he states lazily, eyes creating slits for his pupils, the honey brown barely visible.
"you know you can talk to me about anything, right?" she smiles softly, gently caressing his knuckles as she leans to lay her head on his upper arm.
"you can also trust me." he takes a deep inhale, knowing full well that wasn't the case.
"then who is that boy you've been speaking to?"
he will never treat you better than i did, nor will he ever hit you like i did.
