Beam's POV

Today is Yo's one-year death anniversary.

Lots of things happened since the day we broke the news to Ming. Both Forth and I still couldn't believe that that day will be the last time we saw Ming.

About one month after Ming left our house, his parents called and demanded to know where Ming was. We were confused so we drove down to Ming's house to find out what was going on. It was in chaos when we reached and their neighbour which was my parents told us what was happening.

We were astonished when we learned that Ming had left. Leaving behind a letter for his parents and left. I had to admit it was the bravest thing he had done since I knew him.

And I couldn't stop wondering if he could be this brave when Yo was alive, maybe things would be different between them.

His Ma was crying, asking why something like that will happen in their family.

His Pa was so angry that he started to throw Ming's stuffs out of the house, yelling about how Ming has disgraced the family, and he doesn't have a son like Ming.

We tried to calm him down, but the minute he realised it was us, he started snarling at us in front of my parents with hate in his eyes, accusing us of contaminating Ming's mind and leading him astray.

Lucky for me, both my parents were thick-skinned. They didn't care what other people said.

Unquestionably, Ming had told the truth about everything in the letter he had left for his parents.

I can understand they couldn't accept the fact that their son loves a boy. Not every parent can accept that.

My parents? When I first told them, they thought that I was just being playful, and I will come to my sense one day and marry a woman. I couldn't stop them from deceiving themselves, but I'm glad that they didn't force me to leave Forth back then.

After finished yelling at us, Ming's Pa dragged his wife into the house and slammed the door at us, leaving Ming's stuffs scattered on the ground.

With my parents' help, we picked up all Ming's stuffs, and took them home with us.

We tried to find him, we called him and went to places that he would go, but still no signs of him. We gave up after two weeks of searching. He could be anywhere, and we couldn't find him if he didn't want us to.

Two months after the incident at Ming's house, we received a parcel. We were puzzled when we first saw the name of the recipient was Yo. The parcel only  contains pictures, pictures of places from other countries such as the Mount Fuji from Japan, and nothing else. No sender's name or any information indicated who sent it, but we knew in our heart, it was from Ming.

My eyes swelled with tears when I realised what Ming was trying to do. He was fulfilling Yo's dream for Yo. Yo's biggest dream was to travel round the world, visiting tourist attractions from every country, but he didn't have the chance to do it himself and now, Ming was doing it for him.

He took pictures of all the places he visited and sent them to us because he wanted us to bring them to Yo since he didn't know where Yo was buried. We didn't tell him, and he didn't ask.

Forth told me that Ming didn't want to know where Yo was buried mainly because part of him wants to believe that Yo was still alive.

After the first parcel we received, every two months we would receive the similar parcels with only pictures and Yo's name as the recipient.

After Ming had left without telling us where he goes, we were so afraid that he would do something foolish like ending his life.

But after we received the first parcel, we felt relieved because we know that he is still alive at some place in this world.
