Chapter 3

Matthew POV
I got the kids home and started on dinner. I didn't have to work tonight thank god. I sat the twins down at the table and they started on there homework. "When you guys are done you can go play the game." I said to the boys. Jazmine got them a x box for Christmas. They were the happiest ever. Cecilia was in her high chair watching me cook some mash potatoes, corn and some chicken. All of here favorites. I picked up my phone (I barley do) and I saw a text from an unknown number.

Hey man what's up
Me-
Who is this?
I felt bad for asking but no one ask my number but the school and the babysitters. Who could this be. I put my phone down and checked on the food. Cecilia was watching the boys play on the game and Jacob was getting mad because he thought Jason was cheating. I chucked and looked back at my phone.
Unknown-
Uh Oliver
Oh shit, I forgot I gave him my number. I didn't actually think he would text me. A rich boy like that probably has millions of friends.

Nothing doing stupid math homework wbu
Me-
Cooking dinner for the kids
I put my phone back down to check on the food. Everything was done so I got the kids in there chairs and made everyone a plate. "When you guys finish you need to start getting ready for bed." I told the twins. "But matty! We have no school tomorrow. Can we stay up just a bit later?" Jason asked poking his lip out. I nodded my head, not telling him we still have to get up early to drop them off at daycare so I can go to work.

We finished dinner and it was around 10:45 and the boys were passed out on the living room floor and Cecilia was in her bed sleeping. I sighed as I picked up the boys to put them in the bed. As I was putting Jacob down I saw his eyes open a little. "Matty?" I heard his little voice as I was trying to leave. "Yes?" I said looking at him on the top of his bunk bed. "We have a thanksgiving party coming up next week before break, I know your really busy but me and Jason would love for you to come see our play." God that killed me. I never have enough time for my boys. "I'll be there baby."

When My alarm went off, I tried to get up but Cecilia was in my arms and Jason was at the foot of my bed. I guess they got scared. I laid Cecilia down and got up to take a shower. When I got out I checked my phone and saw I had 5 new texts and 7 missed calls. All from Oliver.
Olivier-
Aw that is so sweet

Hey you still up?

Me and my friends are just hanging out and drinking if you wanna come.

Boyyyyyyy I'm to drunk and I have no idea why I'm texting you.

Your really hot.

The last text had me real confused, he thinks I'm hot? I mean has he even looked at him self. He doesn't come off as gay tho. Man he better not be playing with me.

Me-
Hey 😂😂you probably have a killer hangover right now.

I put my phone down and went to wake up the kids. Of course the twins had an attitude, thinking they would get to sleep in. And Cecilia wasn't trying to get up so I just hurried up and got her dressed. I packed them breakfast lunch and some snacks since I'm going to be working a double tonight. We was making our way out the door when Jason sat down. "Jason come on, I can't be late." I said holding Cecilia in my arms. She still wouldn't wake up. "No I'm sleepy." He said rubbing his eyes. This is why I need a car. I can't wait tell I saved enough. "Hey buddy wanna ride on my back?" "No fair!" Jacob said. This was going to be an impossible morning.

We finally made it to miss Melissa house and she laughed as she saw me caring Cecilia with Jason on my back and Jacob pouting. "You poor thing." She laughed as she grabbed Cecilia out of my arms. I laid Jason down on the couch and Jacob jumped up with him. "Thank you Melissa, your the best." I said handing her 100 bill. "No Matthew. You keep that. Save up for a car." She said walking to the kitchen. She never takes my money I feel bad. But I am so grateful for her. Not many people would do that for you.
I quickly made my way to the library and clocked in. It was a Saturday so we were always busy. But there was a carnival in town so only about 2 people were there today. "Hey Ron, sorry I'm a little late." I said putting my stuff up. "Your good my boy, I sent ronlissa home because we're really slow." I nodded my head and went to stock some books.
I couple of hours later I was about to take my lunch when I heard a voice from behind me. "You always working huh?" Oliver said smiling. Today he had on some skinny blue jeans with a blue collar long sleeve shirt on, and his hair was all over his head like he just woke up. He looked... gorgeous. I laughed and shook my head. "Oh yeah." I said heading back up to the front to clock out for lunch. "Hey are you on your way to lunch?" Oliver said following me. I shook my head clocked out and grabbed my jacket. "Mind if I join you?" He said with a sly smile, which made the conners of my mouth come up a little bit. He was just so cute. "Sure, where do you wanna eat?" I said holding the door open for him to go out of. "There's this really good Chinese spot not far from here, that sounds good?" I nodded and we headed there. "So Matthew, tell me about your self. How old are you?" Oliver said trying to make small talk. "19." I said looking down at him. "You?" "17 but I turn 18 soon." He said with a proud look on his face. I nodded my head "got any brothers or sisters?" I asked. "I have a step sister but I never met her."
We continue talking tell we got there and even when we sat down we kept talking. I learned that he loves art, he sounded so passionate about it. I told him how I take care of my siblings because my parents died. Of course he got that pity look on his face but I quickly changed the subject. Turns out Oliver is a really nice kid. Not the stuck up like I thought he was. And the fact that I could talk to him so comfortable was crazy.
Soon it was time to head back so I was getting my wallet out, but before I could do that Oliver gave the waiter his card. "My treat. You got the next one." He said smiling. Meaning he wanted to do this again. Why did that make me so happy?

Oliver walked me back to the library talking my ear off about how I should go to the carnival with him tonight since I get off  at 8. "Listen Oliver I would love to but I got the kids. I can't leave them with the babysitter no longer then I have to." I said. "Then we can take them! Ah don't say no. I'll pick you guys up at 9." He said walking away. I sighed and got back to work. That kid is so stubborn. I thought with a smile on my face.

Finally what seem like forever 8 rolled around. I clocked out and told Ron I was headed out. I walked out in the November air and started walking to Melissa's house. When I got there Cecilia ran and hugged my leg. "Matty!" The boys said together. They hurried up and got there stuff together. We thanked Melissa and we was on our way home. "You guys wanna go to the carnival tonight?" I said wiping bananas off of Cecilia face. They both stopped and looked at me with shock on there face. "YES MATTY PLEASE YES CAN WE GO YES MATTY!" They started screaming making me laugh. Cecilia was saying yes with them even though she didn't know what was going on. "Okay okay, let get home and change.

We got to the house and the boys ran to there rooms. I got a text from Oliver asking for my address. I gave it to him then went to get Cecilia dressed. "Who wants to wear there pink tutu I said pulling out the outfit Jazmine got her. "Yayyy! Can matty do my hair?" She said looking at me. "Of course." I put her outfit on her and braided her hair into two braids the way Jazmine taught me. It was Cecilia favorite hairstyle. She jumped up and down as she looked at herself in the mirror. I went to check on the boys to see they were already ready wearing the same jeans and Jacob had his Batman hoodie on and Jason had his Spiderman one on. I packed us a couple snacks in Cecilia bag. I looked at the clock and it was already 9. There was a knock on the door and the boys jumped up. "I'll get it!" Jason said running to the door. I already knew it was Oliver and Jason was shy so he'd run back in. "Hey is Matty here?" I heard Oliver say. I picked up Cecilia and made my way to the living room. Oliver was dressed the same way he was when he left me but he had a think pair of black glasses on. Made him look even more delicious. "Are yo guys all ready?" He said looking around. "Matty who is this?" Jason said hidding begins my legs. Oliver bent down to where he was Jason height. "Hey little dude, my names Oliver what's yours." He said in a gentle voice. "Jason." He said and I could barely hear him. "And I'm Jacob!" Jacob said running up to Oliver shaking his hand. Jacob has always been confident and could talk to anyone. "Okay Jason go get your sister jacket for me." I said putting Cecilia down. Oliver started talking to her telling her how cute she is. And she loved it. The boys came back with like 3 of Cecilia's jackets making me laugh. I put one on her and we headed out the door. Jacob was mad that he had to carry Cecilia princess backpack but he'll get over it. Oliver took us to his car, a Pontiac G6. I put the kids in the back buckled them all up and got in the front. "Thank you for taking us." I told Oliver. He turned and smiled at me, made my heart flutter a little. "I enjoy your company." Was all he said and we was off.

Not much longer we pulled up at the carnival, Jacob and Jason was looking out their window with big smiles on their face. "Okay boys when we get out I want everyone holding hands." I said unbuckling my seat belt. Cecilia was bouncing up and down making me laugh. Oliver got out and got Jason out, holding his hand. Surprising me because Jason was very shy. I got Jacob and Cecilia and met them around the car. "Ready?" He said with a big smile on his face. I nodded my head and we made our way to the ticket booth. Olivier went first and when he turned around he had 5 bracelets in his hand. "Oliver! You didn't have to pay for us." I said shaking my head. My treat was all he said. He headed the boys their bracelets and me and Cecilia one. At first we had let the boys have their fun, while Cecilia rode the baby stuff. Oliver road a roller coaster with Jacob and I road one with Jason. We was having a blast I didn't even realize it was closing time. Before we left I got everyone cotton candy.
The drive home was quite because the kids passed out.
When we got to my house Oliver helped me carry all of them to their beds. "Thank you for today. They will never forget it." I said walking Olivier out. "I had a great time with you guys." He said turning and looking at me. "Maybe one day I can just take you out." He said in a whisper making my heart beat. I nodded my head "I would like that." He waved goodbye and I shut my door. That boy gonna be the death of me.
