Jody's House
Amber's Pov
"Amber you gonna be late for school again!" Jody yelled from the hallway. I sat up in my bed and thought about last night. I thought about it all night as I was trying to calm myself down. It took hours but I managed. I ended up breaking my mirror in the process.
I got off the bed and quickly changed clothes. I didn't really want to face Sam and Dean. Or Jody for that matter. So I got out of my room and headed straight for the door. I was about to grab the door handle when...
"Hey, why so fast there young lady?" Jody asked behind me. I stayed with my front at the door.
"I'm going to school. You said I was late right?" I said.
"Well yeah but, don't you want any breakfast? Or maybe talk about what happened last night after I left?"
"No thanks, to both. I would rather just go to school." I said. And without waiting for her answer I opened the door and walked to school.
~
"Amber! Amber! Hey, why were you late for school?" Kendra asked me as she ran up to me. I had just walked into school about an hour late.
"Uh... just some personal problems. That's all." I said.
"Those two personal problems that were at your house yesterday?"
"Uh yeah. But it doesn't matter. Let's just get to class." Then Kendra stepped in front of me.
"No, it does matter okay? And I want to know what it is." She said. I sighed.
"Five months ago those two men saved me from my dad. They let me stay for about a month But they send me off to Jody's." I said. "The problem is that they didn't do anything to keep the contact with me like the promised they would."
Kendra just looked at me.
"Yeah okay I understand that but what are you gonna do about it?" She asked.
"I don't know. But I don't want to talk about right now so let's just get to class."
~
"Okay, okay so there was this one time where Dean and I filled Sam's shampoo with temperately hair color. It lasted for about a week." I laughed as me and Kendra were walking home from school. She made me laugh and forget about last night. Somehow in the two days, I've known her she manages to make me smile.
"No way! What color was it?" Kendra laughed.
"It was bright pink and that's not even the best part. He had to go on a case that week! It was hilarious."
"God. I wish I could've seen that." She laughed.
We came to a small park that was in the town. We had to walk through it to get to Jody's. As we walked through the little park with surprisingly many trees, I felt as if someone was looking at me. But there was no one else in sight. I looked around me and decided to walk faster to get the hell out of here. Kendra noticed.
"Hey, why are you in such a hurry? Slow down." She told me.
"Sorry I just have a bad feeling," I said as I was walking in front of her. She didn't respond. Suddenly I smelled the smell of Sulfur and I knew that meant demons. I turned around to see if Kendra was still with me but she was gone.
"Kendra!" I yelled trying to find her. No response. I started to panic. I ran around the park trying to find her. I kept calling her name. When that didn't work. I started to panic even more. I ran towards Jody's house as fast as I could. As I came to the house I ran up to the door and practically kicked the door open.
"Jody! You got to help me!" I yelled.
~
I was standing in the middle of the living room and there were Jody, Sam, and Dean right in front of me. I was panicking and breathing heavily and rapidly. Dean noticed and immediately came over and grabbed my shoulders.
"Hey, hey easy. Tell us what happened." He said, trying to calm me down.
"Uhm... Kendra.... gone.... demons..." Was all I managed to say. Dean looked at the others before he looked back at me.
"Okay, calm down, take it easy. we'll find her, but you have to tell us everything that happened, okay?" I managed to slow my breath down and calm myself. I sat down on the couch. Dean sat down beside me.
"Uhm... we were just walking home from school. we were in the park and I had this bad feeling like someone was watching. then I smelled sulfur... And then Kendra was just gone." I said. "We need to get her back. We need to save her!"
"Okay, okay easy now. We have no idea where she could be. We don't even know if she is taken by the demons. Maybe she just went home without you hearing it." Dean said.
"No, she wouldn't do that. And I smelled sulfur! I know demons took her." I said standing up. Dean followed. " Or maybe you don't believe me?"
"Okay okay, easy. We do believe you, okay? It's just... okay, Look we wanna help. But we have to think it through."
"Fine, okay. So what are we gonna do?" I asked.
"Well, maybe there is something at the park so, you and I are gonna go there and see if we can find anything," Dean said.
~
Park
We drove up to the park and parked the car. We walked into the park and I showed Dean where I last saw Kendra.
"So, It was here she disappeared?" Dean asked.
"Yeah."
"I can't see anything."
"Well, there has to be something! We have to find her!" I said with a raised voice.
"And we will okay? But There is nothing here. They managed to take her without any trace." We continued to look around.
"This is all my fault. My dad was right."
"No, come on. Don't talk like that." Dean said.
"Why not? If it wasn't for me Kendra would be just fine. The demons are after me. They must have known I care about her so they took her." I said. "My dad was right. I am poison." Dean then suddenly grabbed me by my shoulder and looked me dead in the eyes.
"Hey, you are not poison, okay? Don't ever talk like that. And Kendra? That was not your fault. We will find her."
I suddenly smelled sulfur again just as I heard something from the trees.
"Did you hear that?" I whispered. "Or smelled it?"
"Hear and smell what?" Dean asked confused.
"Sulfur and there is something or someone hiding in the trees. Watching us." I continued to whisper.
We looked around to see who it was or what it was. When suddenly a man attacks Dean from behind so they fall to the ground.
"Dean!" I yelled.
I looked at the man and his face was full of black smoke. He was the demon. I felt myself getting very angry scary quickly. I grabbed the man and pushed him off Dean. He was now just lying on the ground. I grabbed his shirt and without thinking I started to punch him repeatedly.
"Amber! Amber, we need him alive! Amber!" Dean yelled Grabbing my arm and pulling me off him. He turned me to look at him
"Hey, We need him okay? He can tell us were Kendra is and why they took her. But we can't do that if you beat him to death, okay?" Dean said.
I looked at the demon and then back at Dean. I calmed myself down as much as possible and nodded. I looked down and saw my hand. My veins were... glowing, like my eyes. A purple color. I quickly pulled down my sleeve so Dean wouldn't notice. He went over to the demon and we took him back to Jody's house.
