Barn

Amber's Pov

"Turn here!" I said pointing towards a small road that leads to an abandoned barn. Dean does as I say and drives down the road.

"She's in there?" Sam asked me, turning his head to look at me in the back seat.

"Yeah... I think so." I said nervously.

Dean parks the car far enough away so that no one would spot it. Then we all got out and walked over to the trunk. Dean unlocked and we got our weapons.

"You ready?" Dean asked as he gave me my gun. I glanced over at the barn then back at him.

"Yeah... definitely," I said. Dean nodded.

"Okay, what are the rules?" He asked going into father mode.

"Really?" I asked. He just gave me a serious look. I sighed.

"Stay close. Don't use my powers and if anything attacks, shoot." I said slightly irritated. Dean nodded in approval before we made our way towards the barn.

We made our way inside, there was pitch black. And it was way too quiet. Even though I'm not allowed to use my powers I used my senses. I listened closely for something, anything. Then in the distance, I heard breathing.

"Dean," I whispered. He turned to face me. I nodded my head towards the breathing before making my way over there. I saw Dean giving me a confused look as to how I knew it was that way when realization dawned on him and he gave me an angry glance before following. Sam right behind us.

We continue to walk towards the breathing when I suddenly start to hear growls and groans. along with claws and footsteps. I start running towards it, ignoring the fact that Dean would be pissed afterward. I run into the main big room and see a big blue sort of shadow creature that was on fire. Blue fire. It's a hellhound. It looks like it's trying to bite something under it. It's then I notice that there is a person under it. It's Kendra.

"Kendra!" I yell happy that I found her, but worried since there is a big hellhound on top of her. The Hound hears me and turns its head to look at me. It growls and let's go of Kendra before running towards me. I started to shoot it only to realize that it did nothing. I started to panic, not knowing what to do I felt my instincts I didn't know I had, kick in. It jumped on top of me, making me fall. My eyes and veins started to glow and I started to growl at it as I was trying to keep it away from me. I felt my scars burn and my skin boil as anger was growing inside of me.

"Get off me!" I growled at it as I managed to kick it in its stomach, pushing it off me. I quickly stood up and saw Kendra behind the creature with a knife. I growled at the Hound again to distract it so Kendra could kill it.

"Amber!" Dean yelled, as him and Sam ran in and joined us. The Hound turned and it looked like it was about to attack them. I quickly got my kife from my boot and attacked it. I stabbed it in its side multiple times before it pushed me off making me fall. It growled one last time before running off to god knows where. I stood up dusting off the hay that got on my clothes. Dean walked over to me and examine me for any injuries. My powers slowly stopped glowing as I calmed down. I look around the barn and only now notice that Jessica was lying on the ground. Ripped to pieces.

"You okay?" He said worried written all over.

"Dad, I'm fine," I said. My eyes widen as I realized what I had just said. I slowly looked up at him meeting his gaze. I tried to read his expression but I couldn't. I looked over at Kendra who was getting on her feet. I walked past Dean and walked over to her, without saying anything I hugged her. She tensed but hugged back nonetheless.

"Hey," I said relieved that she was okay.

"Hey," She said.

I let go and put her head in my hands.

"Are you okay?" I said, examine her.

"I'm fine." She said blankly. I continued to examine her, but she suddenly grabbed my wrist surprisingly tight. We made eye contact and something was different with her. But I didn't know what.

"I said 'I'm fine'," She said stern. I nodded and she let go.

"Okay, come on, we'll bring you to our home," I said Taking her hand and started to find my way out but she stopped.

"But what about my parents? I wanna go home," she said the harsh tone completely gone. now she sounded scared.

"And we'll bring you home I promise but you gotta come with us first. It's safer there." I said trying to calm her down.

"Safe? I... I'm not safe?" She said scared.

"Does that look safe?" I asked as I pointed toward the dead hellhound. She shook her head and we made our way towards the Impala. Kendra and I got in the backseat while Sam and Dean put the weapons back before getting in themselves. Then we drove off. As we were driving Kendra slowly fell asleep leaning against me.

"It's okay. You can lay down." I whispered. She nodded and laid down, her head on my lap. I pet her hair as she drifted off to sleep. I smiled down at her, but I got this weird feeling of déjà vu.
