As they were heading to their cars after they'd finished at the crime scene, Hank and Gavin were slightly ahead, hoping to get to their cars and not have to talk to each other. The androids following behind however, were both in a deep conversation about what they had discovered from the investigation.
Then, they stopped.
Hank and Gavin had noticed that the androids conversation had been cut off halfway through their words, and turned around.
Both androids had fallen to the ground, their LEDs dark.
The two males ran up to their partner's body, moving them around to see if they were alive. Hank had pulled Connor up into his lap and checked on him, with no response, he then pulled him into a hug. Gavin had pulled Nines onto his lap, and then put his head into their chest after kissing him on the forehead.
They both cried at the knowledge of their partners being dead, since they had grown an attachment to their android..
