"W-What?" I looked around. The area had changed. We stood in a long hallway, and a huge door blocked our path. The beast pushed the looking to be stubborn door open like it was nothing. He had to duck to avoid hitting his head on the top of the door frame. I followed.

As soon as we left the ruins, at least that's what I think they were, we were greeted by a snowy pathway. The temperature changed almost instantly. I tugged my cloak tighter around me, shivering. How was it snowing underground? That shouldn't be possible.

The beast seemed unaffected by the cold and just kept walking. I followed, thankful the snow made my footsteps quieter.

"U-Um..... M-Mr Beast?...."

"Don't call me that." he growled at me, making me squeak in surprise.

"W-well what am I s-supposed to call you?" I responded, trying to sound like I wasn't scared.

"Ink."

"I-Ink?....." I chuckled on the inside. A big fierce beast, named Ink. what next?

"What did you want?"

"I-I want to know w-where we're going." I glare slightly, starting to feel annoyed.

"To snowdin, where you'll be staying."

"S-snowdin?......"

He nods. Snowdin.... Sounds safe enough...... I guess.

A building like the ones in my village came into view. It was definitely taller than the ones back home, though. It only went up to Ink's waist. He sat beside it and looked to me, waiting for something.

"What?....." I shivered.

"Gonna go inside?"

The house was nice, and I'll admit, I wanted to. But I was scared.

Trying not to show my fear, I opened the door. I was welcomed by warmth, It was amazing. I walked inside and closed the door, forgetting for a moment about the beast outside.

Inside was a bare house, a single couch, coffee table, and a colorless rug. I walked around to find a small kitchen just to the right of the living room, with everything anyone would expect to find in a kitchen. Pretty white tiled floors, bright blue walls, and everything down to cabinets and a fridge. Much more life than the living room.

I went up the stairs just left of the door and saw 3 rooms. The first one was an empty room, with nothing but a desk along the right wall. The next room was a nice bathroom, looking to be the same pattern as the kitchen. I opened the last door to reveal a master bedroom, but all there was would be the bed. The walls were a pale tan, and just looking at the old carpet made me picture cleaning supplies. This place needed a makeover badly.

I screamed when the roof above me was lifted, and the beast looked amused as I stared in fear.

"Well? What do you think?" he waited for an answer.

"I-it'll do.... J-Just needs t-to be decorated...." I answered truthfully. He nodded and pointed to a door at the back of the room.

"There's a balcony, so I don't have to hold up the roof all the time."

What's wrong? Can't put your beast strength to use? I thought, biting my lip. I put my bag and cloak on the bed, quickly putting the horn inside my bag before Ink saw it. I really didn't want to make this guy mad.

I walked out to the balcony and Ink set the roof down. He was waiting for me to say something. "U-Um..... S-So..... W-What do I h-have to get you?" I asked, finally at my limit of uncomfortableness because of his stomach growling.

"Well I don't trust you'll come back if I let you go to get me food, so I'll just have to get something myself." He responded, eyeing me. I shivered, just from seeing the strength hidden behind those eyes.

"I-I understand b-but I'm n-not really comfortable l-listening to y-your stomach growling....."

"Be glad you aren't listening to it from the inside." He snapped, making me shrink back and cover my ears. He had said that pretty loud, and it hurt my ears greatly. I would hate to hear him yell, if I survived long enough to hear it at all. Not like I'd want to.

I still felt kinda offended when he said that though. I mustered up as much courage as I could manage and snapped back. "Well you missed y-your chance to eat me, so don't remind me of that and expect me t-to keep my mouth shut, horn head." I covered my mouth, realizing what I had just said. Ink raised an eyebrow, If skeletons had eyebrows I guess, and gave me an amused look.

"Horn head?" he chuckled slightly. "You need to work on your insults."

"I-I guess I do..... H-heh...." the more I thought about it the more I wanted to laugh. I don't know why, but I was very slowly feeling a bit more comfortable around this guy. He seemed to have a sense of humor, was decently kind, and merciful so...... I guess he's okay? I'll get used to him eventually, since I'm stuck with him for however long he'll keep me around.

Hopefully he won't kill me.
